JESUS WEPT! </Hammond>

My heartrate increased just from watching the onboard. What the unholy fuck, that is an insane, violent machine.

JESUS WEPT!

I drove up Pike’s for the first time a few weeks ago, they were not letting most cars go through to the summit due to construction up there. Even still, my turbocharged car was not happy until it got significantly more RPM than I’m used to having to give it to obtain adequate boost. Some serious clutch slippage had to

I concur...

Exactly right. Experienced that myself driving up Pike’s a few weeks ago in a turbocharged car. Severe turbo lag and completely gutless trying to get the car moving initially. A lot more clutch slippage had to happen to get the car moving going uphill from a standstill or anything below 5 MPH really.

This is true. Turbos help significantly with altitude, but as I found out by driving up Pike’s Peak myself in a turbocharged road car, getting off those slow corners requires a lot more revs to get the turbo to really start helping you out than normal. It catches you out if you’re not used to it. Definitely

This was pretty much exactly my thoughts about this car. Fantastic tool for the job, but in normal circuit racing where the distances and speeds are much higher, electric still has a disadvantage. Especially if the rules allowed unrestricted boost levels of internal combustion engines.

Musk is awfully sensitive and responsive to things most captains of industry know better than to directly respond to. Most of them consult with a lawyer, the lawyer says if you don’t have proof, shut the fuck up, so they say nothing and let the legal system figure it out.

Damn, I really like B5.5 Passats. One of the most comfortable and spacious feeling vehicles I’ve ever been in... and I notice such things because I’m very long in the torso and very few cars have adequate head room for me. I get into one of these and I’m usually like “Finally, something that feels like it fits me

The California vs. EPA fuel economy deal is a bit strange. I kind of see both sides here. On the one side, California feels it’s doing the right thing for the planet and its inhabitants. On the other, the general buying public much prefers larger, powerful and thirstier vehicles if given the choice. And fuel prices

Rossi was pulling some Kanaan like restart passes out there. Was awesome to see.

Or what will most likely happen, Model 3 issues will get mostly sorted, and they will be on their way to profitability, then Musk has another bright idea for a new product and they just sink any potential profits right back into R&D and ramping up development of that new idea...

I will also add that for the first time in about 15 years, the EU has INCREASED it’s CO2 output as diesel sales have slipped because they’re using more fuel by going to less efficient technology...

The diesel thing... It’s only too little too late for public perception. Diesel does have many redeeming qualities to it and outside of NOx it is cleaner than gas engines.

You have a scanner. You as the smart person you are get to deduce if that code is something serious needing immediate attention or not.

Clearly, these guys must be somewhere in Scandinavia. Rally legend Marcus Gronholm would approve.

Same. Those three made commercials bearable. Matchett in particular did an amazing job to put into more easily understood words the technical side of the sport, which is lacking from every other broadcast team I’ve ever watched.

I applaud Gixxxxxerking’s enthusiasm and willingness to play beta tester.

Certifiable bad-ass. And as a technician myself working on my own, I can appreciate the attitude of wanting to fully understand the hows and whys and not just replace parts.
