Transmission swap? Is the old one shot or slipping? Doing an auto to manual conversion?

Weight helps with traction. Decrease surface area or increase weight and traction will improve... something something something. That is an impressive amount of snow. Looks like he was backed up against a giant snow drift and drove off without even checking what was in the bed of the truck.
Wow! An 850 owner! I always admired those when I was younger as they were quite unique and of course that V12. Despite being under powered for its displacement I’ve heard in that implementation it is one of the silky smoothest power plants ever. I love that car’s style, but at their current age and technical…
Based on the number of times he’s commented that its a crimp issue I’m going to bet that at one point in some car there was an electrical issue and it ended up being a bad crimp. Logically from there was born the misinformed belief that all electrical issues are solved simply by checking the connections. Unfortunately…
Justin, for the record... If you get one of these to review and do not happen to have the testicular fortitude to test the top speed with the top down just respond to this message and I will step in and handle that for you.
I haven’t seen too many other people talking about what I feel is the elephant in the room. Well aside from arguable looks of the vehicle is its feeble engine output? I mean really? Nobody else thinks it is beyond lackluster that the Mk IV had 320 HP 26 years ago and the current one has 335. ON THE BIG MOTOR? What is…
Those are the precise words in the same exact order that came to my mind when I saw the pics after reading the title. That just isn’t a very good looking vehicle. I loved the Mk IV and owned a MK III, so this is quite disappointing.
Kurt, it seems that you’re missing the whole point. This car is able to spank a GT3 RS on a track AND cost less because of one thing... It isn’t quite as nicely appointed inside. That’s how this works. That’s the trade off. This has always been the Corvette’s value proposition. Best performance for the money... Not…
I have gotten air in a lot of different cars. My first car an 89 Ford Probe used to regularly get air off some rail road tracks in my town. Next my Mk III Supra knew how to fly off anything that would resemble a hump in the road. I had two other cars that also experience what it as like to be a bird.
That thing is absolutely gorgeous... However, some part of me wants to see a factory twin turbo version of this as one of the last crazy versions before the whole world goes electric.
That is literally the very first thing I saw in that pic. My eyes hit the monitor and automatically scrolled right and away from the garish grill. So the first thing I actually focused on was the Mk III supra. I owned one for two years so that’s why I recognized it instantly... You had one too or just a fan?
The best answer to this is to call the closest towing company and have them remove the truck(s). My buddy owns a towing company and the surrounding three towns have a ton of shops and lots that use him when people are parked illegally. He charges $220 cash only to get your vehicle back. Towing it out of the way…
Totally agree with what you’re saying, but being that this is the presidential limo we’re talking about... ample back up will already be there in every situation.
You’re totally right... Bragging right for having the first production SUV 23" rims on the market is totally worth a few tenths. At least I think they’re the first. I can’t think of anything else that has come from the factory with wheels that big. Kinda looks right on it too. I certainly wouldn’t mind one of these as…
While I do agree with what you’re saying and Lambo has always been focused more on the flashy looks and outlandish style than the more restrained Ferrari/Porsche .... I do think its somewhat hard to say that from the Gallardo generation onwards they haven’t been making very capable and highly competitive offerings.…
This may just be anecdotal evidence as it is my own personal experience, however at least for Ford the friends and family pricing sucks. I have a friend whose father works for Ford and I went to a dealership to negotiate a price on an Explorer sport. The X plan pricing or whatever they called it sucked. They just…
What really gets me about this trend for larger tires is the performance implications. More rotating mass has a severe affect on acceleration times. I wonder what the 0-60 would be with smaller lighter wheels. I know the Mustang GT350 R gains a few tenths just from having those carbon fiber rims that weigh so much…
I love cars. I’m a car lover. I can appreciate classics, GT cars, some trucks, technology, carburetors, direct injection, rock crawlers, lambos, Trans-AMs, Chevy Novas, love burbly V8's and screaming V10's, even a boxer 4 from an STI, basically anything with an internal combustion motor in it. Not into Teslas at the…
That was a bit obtuse of me to overlook... Thanks for pointing it out. That’s a damn cool ride.
I agree with the other comments. Its relatively giant for the amount of cylinders. So for example your 7.0 liter I’m assuming in Z06? is about .875 liters per cylinder. That 4.5 liter I6 is .75 liters per cylinder, so not quite as big as yours, but large in terms of a 6 cylinder.
