I also feel there is a difference between the two, but how would you define that difference? I’m not talking about drifting as a competition, just the act of drifting.

The reason these cars are cheap is twofold. First those that can actually afford to buy them new wouldn't be caught dead in one that's 3-4 years old. That's just embarrassing, can you imagine what the neighbors will say? Second is the exact thing that we are discussing in this post. People assume that their initial…
Nope you won't. I own a 2006 CLS55 AMG. I've had it for 2 years now. My maintenance costs are under $500 a year so far. Everyone thinks these things are so expensive to fix. They are not. Just don't ever take one to the stealership, research and buy your own parts and you'll be fine. Yes you can be the dumbass that…
I’m nearly certain that nobody will buy the Merc pickup. I’m sure there’s a few out there, but honestly what could the target market be for those? I remember when they tried to release a Lincoln pickup. I saw about 1 on the streets, ever.
Honestly if you're buying a G-wagon there are honestly very few things you care less about then MPG's. I drive a CLS55 AMG and it gets about 13 MPG, I love it, I have never given a single shit about what I pay for gas. My buddy drives a Raptor and he gets 9 MPG, he cares even less than I do.
Ugh my family once had a Galant. WORST CAR EVER. No really. Nothing has every been worse than that particular car. Well maybe some Indian or Chinese knockoff brand that we don’t get here, but nothing in America has been worse than that car.
I guess I’m pretty progressive then when I’d rather have an Optima over an Accord any day. I have however personally been choosing to drive used beemers and benzes for the last 10 years. Before that I was a DieHard Trans-AM WS-6 fan :) One of these days I’m going to let my nostalgia get the better of me and buy one…
Comment of the month if there is such a thing
I see that styling is coming around full circle. The new MB grills are flat and blunt and seem to share a resemblance with this on a number of levels. Curious that is.
I'm not going to go into morbid detail, but most unreliable was a toss up between my Toyota Supra Turbo Mk III and my 2008 BMW X5 4.8. BTW, my previous X5 a 2004 4.4 had been awesome and barely had any issues. Hands down my most reliable car BY FAR was my 2002 Trans-Am WS-6 manual. I drove it from 0 to 115,000 miles…
I know I shouldn't be and we cannot condone such behavior... But DAMN if I'm not impressed. That is some serious movie-grade getaway action. Down the escalator, that's stunt man level and to pull this off under the stress of a real police chase where you may go to jail after receiving a requisite beatdown, just very…
Yes I'm aware, but my point is that I don't think a top gear UK would ever happen/continue without James, Richard, and Jeremy.
By critically wounded you did mean non-existent, right? Or do you think the show could exist in any form with 3 other individuals. I don't think it could, not in the UK.
I don't live in Mass, but I firmly believe that those of you that do should plan a time to get together, most likely a weekend when most are not working. Then as a group go down to the dealership and abuse them for hours and hours, in the end let them know what prompted this and how they can improve their behavior.…
Well, great question. Being that a quantum computer can have a state of, 0, 1 or a million shades of fuckedupedness between 0 and 1 I'm not sure that would be a good thing. So if we translate to 0=false and 1=true, then the quantum computer can also be set to, "EH, whateverthefuck." So basically your autonomous car…
I'm going to have to side with McSeanerson on this one. Cabbies treat their cars rough, but none of them are doing WOT to 60, they rarely go over 35. They also don't slam on their brakes to stop as quickly as possible. They are a bit rough, but they aren't trying to abuse their passengers to that level. Yes I've been…
Yes yes, you are right. I was trying to be funny. I always forget how many other IT people / coders there are out there. That code would evaluate sequentially.
Hey Eric, you are of course correct and statements in a language that has GOTO's in it certainly does get evaluated sequentially. I was trying to be funny, I may have failed at that. Very impressive numbers of years at the keyboard, I'm 35 so you've almost got my total lifespan beat with your coding experience.…
So I realize that this a bit too nerdy, but that code is flawed. If the F105 happens to evaluate the value of human life = value of robot life... Then the KILLHUMANS$ setting would need to be both TRUE and FALSE at the same time. This would likely cause an unhandled exception and possibly a core dump. Nobody wants…
It was a big bank, they made everyone sign them, wasn't custom for me. Bringing all those people in was for intimidatation, when they realized I knew the law they quickly stopped wasting all those expensive minutes and everyone just went back to work.
