I thought his move to USC was a bit premature.
The funny thing is, I remember a LOT of people were dismissive when Pop fired Bob Hill and took over the reins as head coach. Sure, he had some experience as an assistant coach in various stints, but to name himself head coach (he was GM and President of Operations at the time) felt a bit like hubris.

Oddly enough, it almost feels as if the AV Club is conspiring against me. Two of my favorite shows - Silicon Valley and Westworld (its second season premiere) - seem to be receiving undue criticism.
Hollywood is fascinating.
That’s part of the problem with these tentpole movies and the actors in them - everything is more high-stakes. And there’s also a definitive tick-tock in the background, as actors start counting down the number of movies that have left on their contract.
To do a remake is such an odd choice for a filmmaker.
Maybe it isn’t about the marketing - maybe it’s about the quality of the actual film.
It’s rather unsurprising.
Interesting to see where things go from here.
