@StuckOnRepeat: An interesting point was brought up a while ago. I used and still use the word "unflattering"... but really doesn't that mean "makes you look fat/makes you look your actual size"? And likewise flattering is "Makes you look not fat". What I'm getting at is that fear of fat is still the root, here.

Hearing about grading kerfuffles, professor/student ratio woes, gen ed credits, etc from the comments below, I have to say I'm very glad I chose a private art school. They have their own problems, but god did I love going to a specialized school.

I fear for my grandmother flying when she does. Her son and daughters live all around the country, and she still travels at age 85. Even after two knee replacements, and a double mastectomy. She's gotten the pat down once, and so far no incident even though she was mildly uncomfortable with it.
