Lots of haters in the comments, sorry about that, I’m ashamed of my fellow Jalops being that way towards you Kat. I love your articles about Japan and am very interested in Japanese culture myself! I’m just stuck here in NJ, hoping that one day my best friend and I (who also is interested in the culture) can save up

I would call ATT and ask them for the unlock code, then grab a friends T-Mobile SIM card, pop it in the phone and it’ll prompt your for the unlock code. Once you enter that, the phone will be unlocked and work on any GSM carrier around the world that runs on the bands that your phone supports. iPhone’s actually

bahahah, anytime I hear Kalamazoo all I can think of is this YouTube Video...

Coming from an owner of a 2006 Altima SER, it’s definitely a decent sleeper, although it’s not “Fast”, it is quicker than most cars on the road, and NOONE expects it. Also, debadge it and you get asked constantly if you’re driving a Sentra/Maxima/Versa/Titan/Frontier... lol people have no clue about this generation

I couldn’t agree more with this article, thank you for expressing what I’ve been trying to say for a few years now. I currently drive a 5AT 2006 Altima SER, my wife HAD a 2013 Nissan Sentra SV (CVT) and I could not stand that awful CVT when driving that car. Not too mention when we went places, people would ask us if

Can I give you more stars... this is EXACTLY how I feel every time I talk to my friends who support Bernie Sanders. It’s extremely annoying and why I won’t even bother talking about it with them anymore. Or maybe I don’t bring it up because I just don’t understand what it truly is ;-).

bahahaha

I’m looking to replace my Altima SER, and I was originally looking at a Fiesta ST, but now I’m considering a Jetta/GTI (if I can find an affordable deal - Golf R). Think VW is a good platform for a sporty, fun DD that I can mod reliably?

Because the Focus and Golf R are similarly priced... a Golf R400 would be even higher

What Tom said x1000. I’m born and raised in NJ, I’ve lived everywhere from 10 mins outside NYC, to 2 hours away. NJ is a beautiful state, does it have its’ issues? Yeah, but where doesn’t? Even with the flaws at hand, I still love the fact that within 45 minutes I can be in a major city shopping, or the middle of the

Great article, thank you, I was never a fan of hot hatches until recently, nowadays though they just make sense as a great DD especially. I am currently looking to replace my current DD (Altima SER) and I am thinking of maybe going with the Fiesta ST, as I am only 28, no kids (or planned in the near future), %99 of

“When are they going to make Crash-Test Orange an optional color? Can we call it Jalopnik Orange?”

This. and then some more of this across all manufacturer’s!

Chrome rotors! #badass #clearlynotproduction

Is it just me or does this scream McLaren to you guys too? Which is impresseive for Buick to be doing... this car does look really good, we’ll have to see what happens as production starts to become it’s future (how much still stay, and how much will change)

You pretty much summed up exactly what I was going to write in my own comment, thank you sir. And to Jay, definitely keep on keeping on with what you’re doing, you’re a legend and major asset to every car culture that exists today.

Not my video, nor do I live anywhere near this guy, but I thought this YT video was appropriate.

I couldn’t emphasize that last point (#1) any more! I take very good care of my 2006 Altima SER (VQ35DE FWD) and I’m at 183k miles on it and noone EVER suspects that. If you take care of her, she’ll take care of you. that’s my motto.

Great list in general!

And these “packages” instead of “options” are one of the biggest things to piss me off when it comes to buying cars nowadays. It’s absolutely ridiculous that if I want a sunroof, I also HAVE to get LED lighting, HID headlights, chrome wheels and leather interior! All I wanted was a god damn sunroof! (Just an example)

Perfect, and when the employee showed up in the cubicle with balled up sticky pinstripes, I’d say, “nahh, I’m not interested in that car” and walk out. HA! Now the next customer can save the $74.99, you’re welcome.

These words could A) never be any more true and B) are words that could make a man cry quicker than most other words...

That LaFerrari deserves to burn to the ground, just because the owner is loser. Which isn’t surprising that the motor blew between the fact that it’s a Ferrari (typical engine issue) and being driven by an asshat.
