I thought it was flawed, but entertaining with enough camp to sustain at least a sequel. They just needed to embrace more of the silliness, including more Bill Hader as Alpha 5 and less Elizabeth Banks chewing scenery.

Oh I mean I get it too, if everyone experienced alcohol like me we would have a lot fewer alcoholics.
I thought he had said before that Joss had waited to long and he had aged out of the role by now, so would pass on any reunion project?
Which sucks because with one notable exception (Arrow S4) their TV offerings have generally understood what made the characters tick and work.
That’s the sort of satisfying narrative arc that leaves you understanding why a group of superpowered misfits would agree to be led by a baseline human decked out in logo-ridden body armor
Whoa. That is some beautifully thrown shade. That’s like a blade so sharp you don’t even feel the cut until you see the blood. I wish I could star you more.
Yea, I should probably not judge something based off the footage specifically chosen to show fans what a product is about. I should probably just assume that what I’m seeing is just an anomaly, and not indicative of the overall product because, you know, that’s how you spread buzz and awareness of the product.
They’ve gone beyond Grimdark and into Grimderp.
Well, for some, a “character” is defined by their behavior, and responses to situations, and interact with each other.
I assume their first date involved them going to get ice cream, with Aubrey Plaza silently staring at him while seductively licking her cold treat the entire time, and Michael Cera getting increasingly sweaty while rambling on about nothing in particular, until he finally gets so flustered that he dropped his entire…
His tunnel boring machine must have hit a major breakthrough, given the rate at which he is digging himself in a hole.
It’s new characters.
I didn’t understand it like that was the first time he felt the dark side in Ben. I think it was a gradual build up.
It was stupid that he did it at all, to his own nephew even. “How am I going to explain this to Han and Leia...”
Seems to me sensed evil is somewhat shapeless, Snoke’s influence would be enough to bait him perhaps, and he is wary enough as a solitary Master to be on his guard. Kylo seems pretty old in the scene so it may have built over a long time.
Exactly.
Or that lightsabers also are pretty good flashlights and it was dark?
I know how you feel because that is how I feel about Frank Miller. Used to really enjoy his work but now I can’t look at his writing or art (even stuff that I really enjoyed like Daredevil) and not some of his fascist and even downright racist overtones shining through.
If this is the world after the “alien attack” and the help of the Veidt foundation at the end of the story then it could be generic sci-fi setting after an extraterrestrial diaster and supposedly benevolent corporation rises up to help rebuild. Just labeling it Veidt and some veiled references to Dr. Manhatten…
Is it really a Watchmen show if the Watchmen aren’t in it?
