When I said it was awful, I was called a disgusting sexist. Perhaps the queef jokes were too high brow for my dull intellect.

Counterpoint: Wypipo only listen to the opinions offered by other wypipo. To block people from seeing this because the artist presenting wypipo with uncomfortable truths prevents them from broadening their perspective.

Don’t get me wrong, I liked them both. However, both were still kinda boring. LC had amazing acting and production, but the writing for both shows, and the acting for IF was lacking somewhat.

The show wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t for the shitting actor they chose to lead. He has no presence or charm, and is a really bad actor. He’s so sappy it’s annoying.

As someone who spent 15+ years cooking in NYC, I’ve never seen or heard of a high end steakhouse using sous-vide to cook a steak. Usually the broiler person at a place like Peter Luger’s could cook a steak to temp in their sleep.

You are basing that off of comic knowledge. I am basing that off of what is presented in the show. I don’t disagree that it is not out of character, because for the comic, it fits. That is why I felt this scene felt shoe-horned in. It was like, “Oh crap, we need to get at least something in line with the comic.”

Hey, you missed the whole part about how the character Danny Rand is written as a “Woke” Billionaire. The kind of billionaire that we wish all of them would be.

Yes, he falls for Colleen and she for him, but did you notice how he practiced Active Consent in the “sex scene”? Yes, she initiated the kissing and the

The biggest crime of the Iron Fist is that it’s excrutiatingly boring. There are exactly two characters who give any sense of energy: Claire Temple of Colleen Wing. A show about them would be great. Everyone else can piss up a rope.

And I say this as a reader of Power Man/Iron Fist since the 80s. I love the characters

He looked all wrong to begin with. It reminds me of Ralph Macchio in The Karate Kid. It works when he’s getting picked on but you never fully believe he’s ever competent as a Martial Artist. This show was just poorly cast before they ever started shooting.

It is so weird when you guys decide to go after a property. Like when Thiel went after you.

Is there any chance they can kill off Danny and let Lewis Tan play the Iron Fist after all? Like just play it that Zhou Cheng was always supposed to be the Iron Fist, but he made some stupid mistakes he needs to face? I remember vaguely that Zhou Cheng in the comics is the host for an evil dragon spirit? Maybe they

All of them want to control Danny Rand and his mystical hand—except for Colleen. She has other, naughtier plans for that hand.

First off, get fucked. I know your job is to be sensationalist since you can’t lean on Charlie Jane or Meredith or any of the far superior, much more intelligent writers who came before, but at least be intelligent sensationalists for everyone’s sake.

Another worthwhile “summary” of Iron

Hey io9, i just wanted to say, thank you for your early review of Iron Fist, it allowed me to go into the series with very low expectations and enjoy it more than i usually had, especially considering it starts of really weak, in terms of the lead character acting, the pacing and fighting choreograpy and pacing, but

Gawd I felt like I was watching a quasi-Martial Arts Twilight! Danny and Colleen were so angsty (sp)! Danny was every bit of annoying, and Colleen started off great, and was still a good character but got written into the bullshit girlfriend role. The most enjoyable and really what who I watched for characters was

The death of Emmett Till is a national tragedy, national disgrace. If an artist of any color feels the horror of that disgrace, feel the shittiness of whole shitty story and wants to remind the national ethos of what happened and how far we have yet to go, then I applaud them and their effort... especially if the

Oh so that’s how they got those grill marks. Thanks!

Disagree on this one. The stance that she’s not allowed to produce works of art and should only stick to doing white people art, or whatever, is limiting and foments a sort of separation, not a bringing together. I can’t abide that.
