Trump won because we have a horrifyingly flawed Electoral College system. And I don’t see him as a populist, even if that is the spin. He had backing aplenty once he won the primaries from the establishment.

That isn’t how that works. Even if 100% of us voted, the system isn’t really a reflection of the will of the voters. Between gerrymandering and Citizens United, what makes you think our voices would be heard even if we had high turnout? Hell, that low turnout is because of this shit (disenchanted voters).
