We do have enforced background checks on most firearms. And there are no weapon accessories that are legal that make a weapon fully automatic. Also, rather sure that gun violence is trending down too.

I agree. Those are the ones I worry about (mother is a teacher). But there really isn’t anything we can do that is practical. Access to mental healthcare maybe?
Second Amendment kinda gets in the way. Would need to be changed for that to ever happen and isn’t likely to make it through. Any more realistic options?
I always give them a chance though. Because really in the end they admit they either don’t know or just want to ban them outright, which isn’t really “control”, so much as a Constitutional amendment that is DOA.
That isn’t how that works. We have laws on the books that control the sale of firearms. That doesn’t mean criminals follow them.
Schools really could benefit from added security. I can walk onto almost any campus here locally without much issue, which is kinda crazy. Sure, they have an SRO and maybe some hall monitors, but they aren’t stopping you from accessing areas that can result in mass shootings. Parents probably don’t want their kids…
Just because you are ignorant of the laws for firearms doesn’t mean we don’t have them.
I don’t? Or “you” as in the US? Because we do have gun control laws. But the key is that laws stop the lawful, so that only helps so much.
We have gun control. Try some specifics.
There are neutral sources.
What do you mean by “gun control”? We have gun control already. Recommendations?
so how about something else?
A union is a union. The police are a labor force like the rest of us. The key there is that there are other entities that willfully protect them that exist outside the union itself. That is a problem far larger than just the police union being bad.
If you can’t see how attacking unions of any variety doesn’t further the overall attack on unions by big business (and their gov’t lackeys), you aren’t thinking big enough.
Yeah, that is a totally neutral source of info you got there bud. I’m sure a Communist website will give it to me straight without a single bit of slant or anything.
Came here for DS3... but a bit disappointed. That Midir minifight is kinda meh. Why not Yhorm? Lame fight, but would be rad in 2D. Or maybe the Soul of Cinder.
It isn’t the guy - he is just the means to get what these rich, powerful elite want, which is gutted unions. I’m sure they have made him very comfortable, though maybe I am being cynical.
People aren’t opting out of the union, just the dues that fund it. They will be free riders, in that they will be in the union but not formally (as in paying). Less money means less power. Less power means a reduced voice for the worker, meaning big business can continue to exert its outsized influenced on our lives…
You are assuming he will get rich off these. Its too niche of a market, even in a revolution. Tops, I figure he’ll top out at middle class wages. Probably have to pay for his own health insurance and no hope of retirement. But hey, entrepreneurship ain’t easy.
