If this thing ends up being a Civic Si with an Acura interior and ride, I’ll be perfectly happy with that.

Isn’t every check a check you can only cash once?
If they follow Integra tradition, it’ll be a Civic with more power. I’m OK with that.
The updated GTI comes in at $29,545, only a $2,245 jump from the Si; pricing hasn’t been announced for the new WRX, but the outgoing model is a mere $200 more than the Si.
Details are hazy 20 years on but I remember being on contour.org and discussing the decontenting that Ford did with latter-year Contours including my 2000 SVT. One kinda trivial thing I recall is a trunk panel that blocked tail-light glare was deleted so if you had your back seats folded down the light would leak…
Ford doesn’t make any money on dealer markup, and dealers aren’t cancelling orders, Ford is.
Most cars with around 200hp will have a 1/4mile trap speed of about 90mph. There are many residential neighborhoods with straight enough roads more than a 1/2 mile long. 116mph should be obtainable by then.

Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Geology is fucking awesome.
Hello, straw man. The real issue is how quickly the car accelerates to reach triple digits. Unless you’re experienced it’s super easy to lose control.
Sure, a 200 HP vehicle can get to 116, but it takes a much longer time to get there.
I’ll have you know that 90hp can do 116mph just fine, thank you.
I liked jalopnik’s articles better when they told me things, then we commented about the validity of that claim. This crowdsourcing of content is getting old.
What, trying to stem the tide of heating up the planet?
I bet you call them “ricers” too
Incorrect take.
Thank god I am not your friend.
I don’t think an addition of 4 LEDs is going to impact the cost of each tail light by much, considering that they also contain the radar for BSM and a couple dozen other LED for the indicators, running, brake and back up lights. I am pretty sure the actual brains of this are elsewhere on the truck.
