Tesla got by like that for decades.

MHI owns less than 2% of the Auto company. They are mostly owned by Nissan(34%) and Mitsubishi Corporation(which is different from MHI)

Regarding Nissan “dragging out cars” they have always done that. The R32 and R34 Skylines were all the same basic platform and engines. That ran from 89 to 2007. The Silvia Nissan S platform went from 75-2002.

Honestly if i can get 550HP and AWD in a 2door coupe im find weith that. It would actually suit my needs for a mix of sensible and fun.

The difference is in accountability. The board was not aware of it and they held the execs accountable for it. They also got much more of a repercussion for it than a US company would have gotten.

Also let’s not forget the Engineer that designed the cheat was an American in the US offices.

US had the same problem when Japanese cars came in and ate their small car lunch. It took until the early 00's for US small car making quality to be on par with Japanese ones and many would argue are STILL not on par.

    Now I cant unsee that.

They actually weren't they shared almost all the same materials, and lots of drivetrain parts.

    1999-2000 Escort ZX2 S/R

Dodge tried to bring the GLH back on the new Dart but it was just a styling and Brakes package. Which means it was more about STOPPING like Hell than GOING.

    I feel that way about my 2000 ZX2 S/R

Like most Cobra R’s and Shelby GT350 R’s.

Nah I agree that Singer and Foose both make totally crap looking cars.

Youre paying the same price either way. The only time ive seen 2 prices for an item based on Credit card or not was at gas stations.

When I first started my career in 2003 I Deeply dreamed to one day get an M3 manual. As my career went by the M3 increased in price faster than my pay and expenses ever did. What was one semi-attainable goal for me became NO WAY attainable.

    More rare. The 106 made 1999 Escort ZX2 S/R.

I’ve had mostly Fords in my driving lifetime and I’ve been to at least 4 different dealers of theirs in my region(South of Philly) and I’ve never had experiences like that. I’ve had some mistakes but then the dealers have always addressed them and made it right.

In 2018 I bought a Q50 RedSport AWD. Really enjoyed it the first few months.

One day I got in and the infotainment did a self reset. It removed all the built in apps. I had no way to control drive modes, sensors, radio, anything.

Which is odd as the 2.7 and 3.0 EB are being looked at for lots of issues.

Isnt the F-150 hybrid one of CR’s 10 LEAST reliable vehicles?
