    I’m talking even same dynos at the same shops(burger tuning and Z1) with and same time of year. That said a like 10yr old 7spd auto should never be out dynoing a 6spd manual behind the same engine with both wTQ and wHP.

    What confuses me most about the new Z is that in manual form it dynos less than the old 7spd auto in the Q50/60 but the engine is supposed to be identical. I’d have expected it to dyno much higher than it does. I had expected it to be a stronger Supra fighter based on the number that the Q Red Sports make.

    If they are targeting 40+ they are targeting the wrong group to keep brand loyalty. They killed my interest when they killed cars, and when a new GT with same options as my current ‘19 GT is 9-10k MORE than my car just 4yrs ago, they also lost me as a potential Mustang buyer. Nothing about the new car even justifies

    My 2019 Bullitt was 50k. The exact same options on a 2024 GT is 59k according to the Ford config website. I cant name ONE thing on the new car that is worth an extra 2k to me for the SAME options. Let alone 9K.

    Same. I’m ‘83 and the SN95 came out when I was 11. THAT was the car that was on walls. Along with the Mach III. The Fox Body was the dime a dozen car that my generation had in Highschool because they couldn’t afford the SN95 unless they had rich parents.

    They also know that its faster/easier to move an auto than manual off the lot as more do want an auto. Also, they know that people that need a car are more likely to just buy whats on a lot and not order what they really want and wait months before it arrived.

    that only applies to ones older than 2018. Since 2019 the only differences in the 82 and Tremec are the shifter and gearing.

    In 2000 the ITR out handled the WS6. I’ve seen Escort GT’s pass Porches. Power isn’t everything.

    Ford also wasn’t about to import and recertify a whole other car for one small market. a 4door RWD V8 would’ve been Mustang GT competition. Ford is notorious for not letting other cars get near the Mustang GT in both price

    That was also likely NOT meeting US emissions. The BEST 5.0 pushrod we got in the 90's was 240HP in the SVT Cobra which some say was closer to a 255HP. The 3.4 was much smaller making it better for handling and lighter.

    By US standards the engine was still amazing. It made more power than larger V8's of the same generation. The Ford 5.0 and (new) 4.6 16v in the Mustang GT made less power and the 5.7 from Chevy at the time was just 50 more.

    The now old, 2015 Q50/60 Redsports are still faster than the new TLX type-S. IMO it was dumb for Acura to drop a new performance trim with just 350 HP. Now the Q interior, that badly needs an update last I looked.

    I bought a 2018 Q50 Red sport. Loved the car, hated the dealership so much I ditched it for a Mustang 1 year later just to avoid the dealership.

    30yrs in NYC and DC rush hour traffic in a manual since 2004 and counting.... Never even considered moving back to an auto. I feel like anyone bitching about traffic either never drove manual to start with or just has bad knees.

    To start anyone that is willing to pay more just for a Benz is a moron worthy of being laughed at, and should be laughed at, HARD.
