As a 30+yrs Ford fan (and person that currently VERY MUCH regrets not buying a GT350 instead of an INFINITI)....

    Lies.

Then the ONLY reason I’d have to care about Ford is the Mustang and that is rumors of going Electric/Hybrid. If that happened I would have 0 reason to care at all about Ford.

Just to add the reason: Ford already had the Escort ZX2 coupe and the recently refreshed Mustang v6 coupe and they didnt want a 3rd coupe to compete for the sales, so they took what was already intended to be the final Probe and moved it up to Mercury. It was essentially a Contour Coupe.

Yeah there was. It was renamed Cougar.

    You mean 3rd gen Probe?

    Probe? That looks more Taurus.

As opposed to GM’s “If it was good enough in 1970 it’s good enough for today” philosophy?

    I know you do. :-) I see you on m6g. ;-)

I’ve lost enough on the Q50 that to get a new GT350 I’ll be paying about 750/month(which I COULD pay but feel is just stupid), so unfortunately that’s off the table for me right now. It’s sad when a car with a 63K MSRP(luckily I didn’t pay MSRP), has a trade-in of only 44k.. I plan to not compromise when I get rid of

The worst thing I feel I’ve ever done is get a Q50 Redsport and not a manual anything. The car holds 4 very comfortable. has AWD, a 400(underrated) hp ttv6. Will do a 12.6sec quarter mile, great large brakes, handles nicely....

But there is no change in cost to build. It’s just software coding that happens anyway.

    Its modified from Factory Stock.

Then they simply phase it in. It’s not like over night 87 would go away. 93 could be replaced with 95, then over time 87 would phase out.

How would it be more expensive cars?

I admit you proved my point lol Reading a Forum doesn’t indicate anything about how widespread an issue is.

I also owned an Altima that was “own” for CVT issues.. but never had one.

I had the notorious 1st gen tranny failure of the Taurus (mother had the 2nd gen Sable that also failed)

Oh so you mean just looking at 1 forum for the Focus RS didn’t give me the right impression? huh....

And no it wasn’t the wrong head, it was the wrong head gasket.

As does GM, Infiniti, Nissan... need I go on?
