I'd go Broderick Crawford.

I think it's more like "hugely successful and fabulously well-to-do awkward nerd". I'm an alcoholic, and like gaydar, I can tell when people really are boozebags but think they're fooling me. As a fellow nerd, Ackroyd is, don't let the money and fame fool you.

I really like this conversation. The AVClub really has some good commenters. Just to be clear, I am serious, OK?

I always felt this way. To sound like a Borscht Belt comedian, it comes from a place of love. But it does, it shows from the band they had. Steve Cropper is still alive, which is something - Between him and James Burton, seems like great guitarists never die.

"Stop it, Quinones. You're making Latinos look bad."

That was kind of Steve Irwin's whole schtick. "Here's some marine life lying quietly in its lair. Let me go over there and bother it!"

Throat singers are sorely lacking in sitcoms.

Look out, sin!

Taylor, she-wolf of the Big Machine

Send him to the organic, artisan cornfield!

Yep. To paraphrase Mark Twain: When I was 20, I couldn't believe how stupid my dad was. When I was 30, I couldn't believe how much he had learned in that time.

We call it "the PBR belt".

BJ is a songwriter and a musician, what else is he going to do? As Kim Wilson of the Fabulous Thunderbirds said, "it's either this or become a trashman". And there are actually three generations that said they sold out, if you include the Gilman Street Project/Keystone Berkeley days.

This really depends on the audience. I think that a lot of the reason that Dave Chapelle went to Africa and quit his gig was all the dudebros at the time walking around going "I'm Rick James, bitch!" It almost ruined it for me, and I'm not the person making it.

I'm glad this was the first comment. One of the most insincere acting performances I've seen, and this has stuck with me to this day, is the finale, where he points and says "look….look!" I kept waiting for the eye-roll.

It was funny at first, but petered out really quickly.

All I remember about the Teacher's Lounge is how badly it smelled of cigarettes whenever the door opened. It was like a bar in there.

It should be first. Would like to see McHale's Navy in there.

I love that line, something like "I ask myself two things: Does it make me laugh? Does it make me laugh? Does it make me sing? Is that more than two things? OK!" And if that's not correct, is the egg showing or what?

Just wondering if you read this article.
