I thought the 2Fast2Furious riffs were preferred, like 2Bad2Break or 2Kold2beinadeer.

Ugh. That is what me and my friend call "beer chords", those long slow guitar slide runs that everybody used back in those days. Closely related to "steakhouse bass". And then that chase scene music that sounds like Family Feud.

We need Yaphet Kotto back as the frustrated authority figure as well.

And pay close attention to number two.

He was in the best music video ever, that Fat Boy Slim video. Because…he's a dancer.

I have always thought this line of reasoning is stupid, like we should decide which movies he should be in. I think that, with him, it's not a money grab. Well maybe partially, but also he just likes to act, good movie or not. Like Keith Richards, it's what he is and what he does. If all he can get now is old man crap

I'd love to see Mark E. Smith become a talk show host.

Called the "Everest of Dentistry", which is a massive understatement.

How wude!

That was the best part, judge Judy telling him to be quiet, and Lydon saying "not a word" and miming zipping his mouth shut. He was in the right btw, that drummer didn't have any kind of a case.

I just finished reading this and it's on my nightstand right now. I thought that, as a book, Ronson didn't really have an ending and it petered out at the end, but if any book catches the current social networking zeitgeist, it's this book, and still bears reading.

Yeah, there's another one where's he's being interviewed in Europe by an Italian woman IIRC, I'm guessing when he was there for his Satori in Paris research. Ugh. Or, more accurately, sigh.

Also, he had humor. I mean, a lot of what he does is schtick, but politics could use more schtick. I liked that thing where he walked around Toronto, checking for unlocked doors - "Thank you for not shooting me!" My area had a Flint-like rise and fall, so I understand his frustrated feeling as well.

For me, when I was quitting drinking, watching Jack Kerouac's Firing Line appearance kept me from falling off the wagon - basically "well, this is one of the ways you can go, and it's not a great way". His later life really served as a warning to other budding alcoholics. Of course, I'll never write a Subterraneans,

It also gave me a thankfully-small window into the life of an Army writer. I could actually feel myself getting exhausted reading it, and it was a "lighter side of" tossed-off thing that I'm sure they were happy to write.

Don't forget the moldy apple, and the 5 a.m. breakfast call. Er, so I've heard anyway.

My wife is Chinese and runs an acupuncture clinic. One of her masseuses has a brother who went blind from drinking methanol. But I don't think they have quite that creativity of Russians, that's impressive!

It's the perfect word, and he's literate enough to know what it is. Overall a well-written article. Kid, you're going to go far!

When I lived in Southern California, Rhino Records in Claremont for some reason had at least 50 copies of Rob Stoner's Patriotic Duty. I finally bought it in the "3 for a dollar" bin because I felt sorry for it.

If Taco Tuesday was an offshoot, we'll let that slide, because Taco Tuesdays are pretty awesome.
