Ah, it’s the Golgafrinchan B Ark! Hopefully Earth was not wiped out by a virulent disease contracted from dirty cel phones.

I’ve only played the demo and a few hours of the full release but same. I tried, but it’s very boring, and most characters are quite stiff, and badly acted.

I watched a few cutscenes during the demo and regretted my time with every single one of them

Maybe or it could just be an joke on the fact that the computer generated world itself is in fact flat and not a round planet

I beat this game and didn't watch a single cutscene after the tutorial.

Yeah, but there was uproar when D3 did it, and it sunk the whole Sim City franchise.

Look I know bugs can affect people differently, but you can shove your nonsense claim where the sun doesn’t shine. We had constant bugs. For example… Both of the people I played with crashed back to the dash multiple times during our session. We had another time where we wiped against a boss and when we respawned

It doesn’t feel that way to me at all. The dated graphics, simplistic level design, and general lack of polish combined with the vast array of bugs all feels very amateurish to me. And, really, a lot more than that. For example, I got weird vibes from enemies rushing me all making the exact same animations like how

But on the other hand, there’s not really much else to play right now to play right now”

I’m still a bit baffled as to why this game is getting so much attention? Lack of anything else other than MHR? Because it hit Game Pass? SE is the publisher? My friends and I played it and were pretty underwhelmed.

I’ve always associated the term “can’t catch a break” being when a bunch of bad stuff happens that is mostly *outside* your control. Like if you have a day where your car battery is dead, you get pulled into a meeting and your lunch gets delayed by an hour, and then you get home and you find that the neighborhood kids

What still baffles me about this game ( and Godfall) is why they both require always online connections. They aren’t live service games, but single player games. Always online definitely keeps me away from this stuff

I found the demo to be boring, combat was ok, the story was less so. Now I don’t need every game to be of Naughty Dog caliber storytelling, but there are so many games with great stories now, that playing a game with a bad story is just more annoying than previously.

Borderlands had a much more defined vision of what kind of game it is and, IMO, much better integration of skills and guns. But that comparison is probably decent. Take Borderlands, subtract all humor and charm from the writing and gameworld, make the guns less fun, add in some more robust multi-player functionality

Why not just, oh I don’t know, not reserve connection capacity if the game doesn’t really need online connectivity?

I can virtually guarantee you that progressives don’t see it this way. I am personally thankful for the temporary help, but without correcting the imbalances that lead us to this point, this is a band-aid and we’ll be back to begging for scraps soon enough.

The sad thing is that the PvE portion of the game is in a pretty great spot right now. The new season has a lot of cool new guns and perks, the new secret mission that dropped on Tuesday was phenomenal, lots of quality of life improvements have made the game more enjoyable overall, etc...

Sorry, but it’s not a lie.

They sent an email on 9/25/20 stating “that you may not receive this item on the day it is released due to high demand”. This second email is just reconfirming what they’ve already told some folks.

I haven’t gotten any sort of email like that, but the shipment confirmation did land in my junk folder for whatever odd reason.  I doubt anyone would need to wait longer then a week or two, I think Amazon is just trying to avoid overpromising and underdelivering.
