Once again, all this makes the assumption that the AC team would make the lead assassin a stereotypical movie ninja. Which they wouldn't. I'd be shocked if they made it a ninja at all. There are plenty of potential stories for *actual* assassins in feudal Japan. Stating that they wouldn't do any background research or

"ABC Local is on top of its game this week"

You've got it backwards man, these are the people that were laid off - bored at home playing games and baking cupcakes in between looking at the wanted ads. :)

I still think they should do it. It might be a prime setting for a Vita game, since you could make some changes to the controls of the game and how you navigate the different landscape without those changes feeling out of place.

Yep. Did plenty of reading into hints on the shards and such after reading a couple of the books. The continuity between them is very lose though, and Way of Kings is the only one that really starts to directly address the meaning of the metaverse (little hints in Alloy of law too). That only adds to the weight that

I hate mcdonalds with a passion, but that doesn't look like "grinding it up, adding filler" - it looks like a little piece of fish. yes/no? I'm sure it's cheap fish, which explains the lack of flavor, but I doubt they'd filler it too much what with the backlash on their chicken nuggets, which changed to real chicken

Way of Kings was really outstanding, I can't think of a time I've been quite that impressed by a fantasy book. I really hope he can hold that level of writing as he continues the series, as it could be really, really tough to keep going like that - but if he succeeds it could easily eclipse WOT and be *the* epic

Yeah, it seems like Alloy of Law would fit better into game mechanics, though it would probably also risk being too generic as a result (as the book kind of did).

I didn't even hear Freddie, I just kept staring at his neck/shoulders and wondering who got gears of war characters in my mass effect. The cover mechanics I can handle, but the jock attitude? Meh, I had enough of that with Gears 3.

I sometimes feel like I have the reverse problem - since I'm not an addict, (I'll sometimes binge on games for a couple months, but then it wears on me and I'll switch back to real life or other hobbies like photography) I tend not to play these type of games long enough to meet people. The last MMO I played was FFXI,

I'm not assuming you're playing it like a typical board game, the games that work best on the ipad are ones you pass around or play single player against an AI. When you are playing games like carcassonne, the increased resolution makes it a lot easier to zoom out and look at the whole play field.

There is another difference, in that this art is created by a large studio, under a large corporation's eye. Staffing changes and feedback have already dramatically changed mass effect from it's original vision, and the ending may or may not have been what many of the creators wanted. I'm sure there are content

oops. ;)

For board and strategy games, which are some of the few games that are legitimately good on the ipad, the retina display is going to have a bigger impact. The added detail as apps get updated will be really nice.

"Mass Effect 3 Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Mechanical Gaming Keyboard"

That's... really kinda awesome. It's just so absurd it's tempting, and I normally hate this kind of thing. :)

iOS, common man, make a vita game, pleeeeease.

I REALLY want this on the vita. It would be the perfect platform for it, and the multiplayer mechanism could be cross platform with the PS3.

I honestly hope they do find ways to keep people playing the multiplayer, it really is fun in premise.
