Well, I guess I just never had a problem with it. The only thing I didn't like in gears was when it would snap to something behind you instead of rolling when it makes sense - the intelligence didn't properly account for camera angle. I didn't see that problem at all in the ME3 demo.
I decided to get a new gaming pc for the first time in years last year and decided to forgo building my own this time around, 'cause with past builds I've gotten sick of dealing with Asus, MSI, etc with issues over individual components. I also wanted a box that was quiet, which would get fairly involved. I ended up…
Based on the demo the focus drifts away from earth pretty quick. Earth is a personal focus for Shep for obvious reasons though, and that's appropriate. I agree that it seems like earth would be toast minutes after you left. For it to fit, most of the human race is going to have to die regardless just as a result of…
Rolling and cover on A works really well I think, it's the same as in Gears basically, so playing the demo last night I was thrilled that all the break/switch cover moves I kept wanting to do in 2 suddenly worked. Having it be the same button for activation is pretty minor, since you're usually only doing that outside…
Something I haven't seen, and pardon me if I've missed it - can you play the multiplayer prior to or right after starting the single player campaign and get the benefits towards single player? I'd like to get the game straight off and try out he multiplayer with friends, but I'll probably wait a bit to slam into the…
Since it's not going to happen, I'm not going to worry about it, because I know it would become a horrible and boring thing after a few games no matter what. :)
There's actually psychologically a sizable gap between glorifying war and glorifying death. Also, most video games have very little story and emotion behind death, and even more rarely is death in games shown as a noble cause unless it's a true no-win scenario. That's different from say, Death Note, or most recent and…
Except, she's not entirely wrong - There is more anime that graphically (and sincerely/emotionally) glorifies death in many forms than most any other medium available to that age group. It's partly a result of japanese culture, but partly just a result of the flexibility to show pretty much anything in adult-oriented…
He's kind of an impossible lead to follow (pun not intended) unless you read some of the books. I first got a little feel for the story by following the i love bees stuff, then I read a couple of the books on recommendation from a friend. It made a big difference in my perspective on the character and the story. By…
FMA: Brotherhood, Darker than Black, Steins Gate, and Baccano are all up there for me personally in stuff more recent than FMP, but I have to agree that nothing has ever really replaced it. There's still good stuff, but it's harder to pick through all the crap that's out there, and there aren't that many blockbusters.
XBL and Steam have shown pretty well that the best way to fight piracy is through robust online play. It's much easier to detect and ban modded consoles and/or sell legitimate games when they are used for multiplayer and online services, and when that service holds significant value to the customer. I think that's…
To be fair, the touch screen on the DS was and still is mostly a gimmick - the DS sells games because they are good, not because of the touch interface. The resistive touch screen has limited function in most DS games aside from being a substitute for additional buttons or menus. Using it as an axillary display is…
If it's like vesperia the optional cutscenes were pretty awkward even with the voice. The only real downside I see here is the need to be able to advance the text.
Be honest with yourself man, none of the puzzles in Uncharted 3, with one exception that I can think of, were any better than that. The puzzles are so clear-cut and guided that it's ridiculous. It's a great game, but the puzzles don't really contribute to that fact.
The key word there is implicit. We use X to cross things out, but we also use it to mark or denote things, and just as a letter (like on most other controllers). Most people won't just see an "X" and assume it's a negative. X can be used negatively, but there's not an implicit negativity to its use.
Absolutely, the problem is placement. Also, metaphorical shape associations in game controller design are downright silly. They restrict your control design in games and as a result aren't followed universally anyway, so the label ultimately becomes meaningless.
Since you can get actual worthy discounts on the physical copies more often than the digital, this seems unlikely to be a huge deal. Also, $100 for a 32GB memory card which you will want in short order as soon as you start downloading full games will temper the "discount".
I can't really see the bundle as a panic move, since frankly the bundle isn't that good. If you don't want/need the 3G, it's pretty much worthless - you are better off getting a card and game you want separately.
Google Voice is not a VOIP service in itself, it's a virtual phone service with call forwarding and online management. VOIP is part of google talk and just uses your google voice number for caller ID.
