Even story centered things aren’t always subtitled. Ghost usually has some one liners related to the story when you go down to missions and they aren’t subtitled most of the time.

Private matches are coming to last gen consoles anyways so that isn’t it. Also...games have had private matches for decades. Halo 1 had private matches. They didn’t exist before because Bungie is horribly slow at changing things in Destiny. It takes them months to even do BALANCE patches.
