It’s a Flaming Homer. Credit where credit is due.

[sic] is a notation of when a misspelling is intentional, almost always used when quoting something. In this case, it’s a quote from the lawsuit.

There are a lot of identifiable current and former senior leadership in that top pic. No one in fall of 2013 holding a picture of Bill Cosby could possibly be confused about the message they were sending.

I think we’re going to see a lot of these assholes moving on to explore new opportunities, like sitting at home

“Unaccountable/unelected bureaucrats” is a popular phrase used by Republicans whenever they need to undermine a federal body they don’t like.

“Both sides”-ism, whataboutism, and other related tactics are abused by those in power that flung the first stone to deflect any negative attention away from them. They do this against minorities, women, other countries, and anything that benefits the public but they have little-or-no control over.

Here is my theory

I wouldn’t be surprised if those Call of Duty players would just ignore the news or even outright deny it. I mean, I could be wrong, but some quick Google searches seem to indicate that CoD has a lot of Trump supporters playing it. The exact kind of people who immediately start acting like victims by crying something

I just read through the whole complaint. Damn, it’s even worse than this article makes it out to be. What’s really telling is that the top brass were repeatedly informed about the problems - the DFEH tried to resolve this without litigation and Activision had multiple companies do audits over workplace discrimination

The question is whether this will change anything?  Will players think twice before paying for another month of subscription or purchasing the next game from Blizzard?  Or will players perpetuate this toxic work environment at Blizzard by not holding them accountable by withholding funds before they see significant

It is this type of irresponsible behavior from unaccountable State bureaucrats that are driving many of the State’s best businesses out of California”

The suit also accuses Activision Blizzard of failing to act on “numerous complaints” concerning harassment, discrimination and retaliation from male colleagues over those complaints, and says employees affected were “further discouraged from complaining as human resource personnel were known to be close to alleged

This has a clickbait title, but remains the best thing I’ve seen on vaccine safety.

One of the biggest U.K. costume houses, of lovely repute, burned down a few years ago. It was so sad.

Holy shit, that’s some good Kinja. Props to you!

For context:

Only one problem. It never happened. It was a complete fabrication. We lied.

For all the bullshit reasons cops pull people over, I wish they’d stop more folks with dangerous loads like this. I’ve seen old pickup trucks around here loaded with, and I’m not joking, about 20 full-size wooden pallets. Rear end of the trucks nearly dragging the ground with the damn things stacked 10 high and two

They obviously didn’t yank on the straps and say “yeah that ain’t going anywhere” before they drove off. #1 rule of securing a load.

Thank you. That’s the kind of info I was looking for.

The US has a statute to declare foreign terrorists but not domestic ones:

So, you might say he went on a “Kessel run”?
