A lie? Jesus H Christmas... if you care so much about the environment, yet bought ANYTHING with an internal combustion engine in it, you are doing things wrong. The “I was lied to” argument is just flat out greed, nothing more nothing less.

The answer to the majority of these complaints could have simply been: “Sorry, Volkswagen is not responsible for poor financial decisions and an inability to understand/accept basic principles of economics”.

Speak for yourself there man, I love rowing through gears just as much as the next guy (I only ever owned manual transmission’ed cars/Trucks up until about 3 years ago), but we have come a long way from the piggish GM 4l80E’s of the world. Auto is pretty much the only way to go. I owned manuals because they were fun

Because the owner is likely the same roided up broheim you see wearing a neon tank top at the gym who does a few reps of curls and then walks around the gym for the rest of time with his elbows cocked out to the side and flexing in the mirrors as he passes.

If trucks didn’t have mirrors, what would all the flat brim hat wearing Dodge Bros, who drive around with their tow mirrors fully extended with an unloaded truck, do to impress the women?

Or they dont want someone who doesnt know how to back up a simple bumper pull trailer, to be able to hitch up to and head down the road with a 20k+ lbs fifth wheel

I’m robbing this line from the comment right above yours: “This is a convenience that makes stupid tasks easier, and should be embraced by enthusiasts.”

I think most “truckers” see it as more of a hurdle to keep new-comers out of the club.

This stuff is really cool, my only issue is that all of the controls are so low down in the cockpit and draw the attention of the driver down and towards the center stack. In close space you could really easily swipe a pole/car/person/etc. with the front of the truck. You have to have your head up and looking ahead

Im not telling you NSA! Come and take it!

Yeah, go ahead and open up the hood on that Hilux and you will find that immediately below that hood scoop is, in fact, the intercooler for the turbocharger. It is most definitely functional.

Maybe my eyes are playing tricks but it really looked like the drove the Hilux a lot more abruptly into the first right hand turn after the initial swerve to the left, and then hung onto the right turn longer before administering opposite lock.... call me tin foil hat all you want, butthiswould not be the first time a

Now playing

“So, all that said, sorry I tried to be helpful, then I am sorry I tried to be polite, respectful and not condescending.....”

“You are the true embodiment of the fucktard asshole I usually associate whenever I see a German Car owner.... so congratulations you living stereotype you.”

“You DO NOT get the BuyBack and the Restitution” Yes, you DO, its just netted together on the offer if you opt in to the buyback.

no, I didnt/dont care, you didnt read/think before you posted so (sorry not sorry)

That’s not true at all, you get a fair market buyback + restitution if you opt in to the buyback. If you opt in to the fix, you only get the restitution payment.

Hah, I bought a 4x4 F150 V8 Crew Cab King Ranch

Meh, I figured it was better than “no one gives a flying fuck”

It isnt about the the precise $ value they saved per car. Go back and read case studies about the Ford Pinto as this used an almost identical logical thought process.
