I’d like to see that in the Tudor series, but I doubt that’d happen with the engine restrictions. It would be fun to watch at VIR next year.

I’m also perplexed by this whole thing. I took a look at the physical release handles in the video linked in the article, and it’s not like the handle for the door is hidden. It’s right where a hood latch release might be found in many cars, wouldn’t be far fetched to look there.
It has a button that you push. There are no handles inside or out. Like the article said, there is an emergency release on the floor in case of loss of power.
The 3.8L was used in longitudinal applications as well, namely the Camaro and Firebird, it bolts up just fine.
