It's just not tipping my Need-It Meter style-wise.
Shit happens, but when you do end up making/taking a call, not having to find, interface and hold your phone eliminates some of the distraction.
I agree it's still distracting. But in my experience, the elimination of interacting directly with the phone make it less distracting.
Guess I was trying to say that it takes less attention off the road than interacting with your phone directly.
Being able to call someone without taking your hands off the wheel or your eyes off the road is great. I kind of miss that now that I jumped to an older vehicle, but now I just avoid my phone as much as possible while driving.
HUDs are brilliant. They put the most pertinent information (speed, directions, shift lights, etc.) in the best possible spot, where you don't have to take your eyes off the road. I hope every car eventually has this standard.
Still jealous.
Either one would, really.
I'm jealous and I hate you.
One of my favorites.
This is 'Murica! We only turn left!
Talk about a "crash course" in sky diving, am I right?
Those go in the storage spot behind the touch screen.
My wife's Malibu has slots specifically for cell phones built into the center console.
I'm sure this thing would turn into a money pit almost immediately, but I'll still vote NP for an old, cool looking, running (for now) car for only $3500.
