It's more an issue of keeping that thing under control at those speeds. The tires and the suspension will be heaving and hawing all over the place at high speeds.

Well...the LS7 is a 7.0L engine, so you can kind of go off of that.

I'd be lying if that wasn't part of my intent. But it's a question I posed the last time I was car shopping. I had a super efficient Cruze, but it had a tiny gas tank so the range was mediocre. My wife's Malibu is less efficient but the range on that thing is phenomenal.
