Automatic high beams? No thanks. The daytime running lights on my old car were annoying enough. I think I can figure things out on my own.

Idk if I’m just aging and more sensitive to glare, but to my eye, it seems like modern headlights (LEDs) have become far worse than projected HIDs and traditional halogens in terms of blinding drivers going the opposite direction.

Yet another overly complicated system to add cost to the initial price of the vehicle and add cost to the repair bill when the system eventually fails. Instead of just replacing a $10 bulb, now you’ll have to replace a $500 adaptive headlight assembly. Screw that.

More like an arms race - the oncoming lamps are brighter so you are blinded and need more light to make up for it.

It’s not just the light outside, but also inside that makes a big difference, like in-dash led displays. I drive a 2002 vehicle and have no problem seeing at night with 20-year-old headlight technology...until some bro in a lifted truck passes me, then I can’t see shit for at least 10 seconds.

If I am being regularly blinded by the lights from behind me, how can I see anything in front of me?

How about the ole raise your truck 6" but don’t realign your headlights buffoonery? Yep, you’re lights look like their brights all the time THANK YOU! Agreed enough of the aftermarket BS already, and keep you damn bro-dozer LED light bar off on the road.

When I’m coming up on a vehicle down a back road, and they have their LED light bar on, I swear I just want to run them off in the ditch.

Some regulation/enforcement (yeah right) on aftermarket stuff would be very helpful as well. The amount of people driving around with extra bright LED headlights or light bars or BOTH ON at the SAME TIME is getting out of hand.. at least where I am in NC

This is why I got snow tires.

BTW, another bomb cyclone is hitting Denver tomorrow, so... your neck of the woods, probably Thursday. Have fun driving in the snow across Kansas! (assuming the roads are still open)

There’s also the possibility that his Jeep has a vented gas cap, in which case this wouldn’t be an issue, no?

See his route above? Just follow along and pick them up as they fall off!

This is a great idea. If I bought a dirt cheap, junky tow truck, if I broke down, at least I could tow myself home!

....wait

That would be fun in a small car. I can’t even imagine what it would be like on a bike when it’s available instantly. My bike makes a little less than half of that at 4000 rpm and even that seems crazy sometimes.

Nah man, gotta go full scooter. This will really expand harley’s business:

If they can avoid being seen as a liberal/hippy/girly man/snowflake vehicle, sure. I’m not saying that an electric pickup wont be functional, I’m saying identity matters in purchase.

Manufacturers, say it with me:

I think Ford would sell plenty $70k F-150 Limited BEV trucks if they have 800 ftlb of torque and do a quiet 4 sec 0-60.

“It’s honestly been a little baffling to me why fully-electric trucks are not more of a thing,”
