This is why I got snow tires.

BTW, another bomb cyclone is hitting Denver tomorrow, so... your neck of the woods, probably Thursday. Have fun driving in the snow across Kansas! (assuming the roads are still open)

There’s also the possibility that his Jeep has a vented gas cap, in which case this wouldn’t be an issue, no?

See his route above? Just follow along and pick them up as they fall off!

This is a great idea. If I bought a dirt cheap, junky tow truck, if I broke down, at least I could tow myself home!

....wait

That would be fun in a small car. I can’t even imagine what it would be like on a bike when it’s available instantly. My bike makes a little less than half of that at 4000 rpm and even that seems crazy sometimes.

Nah man, gotta go full scooter. This will really expand harley’s business:

If they can avoid being seen as a liberal/hippy/girly man/snowflake vehicle, sure. I’m not saying that an electric pickup wont be functional, I’m saying identity matters in purchase.

Manufacturers, say it with me:

I think Ford would sell plenty $70k F-150 Limited BEV trucks if they have 800 ftlb of torque and do a quiet 4 sec 0-60.

“It’s honestly been a little baffling to me why fully-electric trucks are not more of a thing,”

Both cars I drive have the backup camera screen in the rear view mirror. I prefer that to having it on a separate screen. The disadvantages are of course that the camera display area is much smaller than the separate screens are and it does take away about a third of the mirror area when backing up. Advantages are it

I’d be okay with hucking every screen into the ocean, personally. (Just kidding—I know the fish don’t want to deal with them, either.)

We all have screens in our pockets that are arguably more powerful and more intuitive than anything built into the dash of any car. I wish the car manufacturers would collectively just admit that their tech is inferior and stop trying to compete with mobile devices. That’s what this is all about, anyway.

Voice control is even better. Another reason automakers should just give up on their infotainment systems and let Apple CarPlay / Android Auto take over all those functions.

Prior to getting a keyboard-less smart phone, I used to not understand the concern with texting and driving. As soon as I switched to one with a touch-screen-based keyboard, I understood.

i hear not breathing also stops window fogging issues. i haven’t had the chance to try it ye

Yup. Live this shit every day with my 2018 Outback. Slow, glitchy, freezes up every now and then; honestly its only saving grace is that there are two physical knobs on top that I can literally punch if it fucking pisses me off.

Know what I remember liking? Buttons. Dials too. They are always in the same place. After a few hours in the seat, you don’t need to look for them. The feedback from a button press or a dial click is immediate and positive. I don’t mind having a screen to display relevant information, but I don’t want menus to be a
