Whenever this conservation comes up, frankly a lot of blacks in this country come across as arrogant Americans in the sense that we, and only we get to define what “black” while often ignoring the experiences of blacks in the rest of the world. As for British actors taking roles from American actors, I can name any

Kev is probably going to get half of everything anyway. Their business dealings were intertwined. Even if it wasn’t, he would still be able to claim a part of everything that she has earned since they married, which is a lot.

The characters were never very old; They were only supposed to be in their late 40s when the shows premiered. Remember, there is an episode in Edith get’s pregnant but has a miscarriage.

Are the shows still set in the 70s? If so what’s the point. I can watch the reruns on some channel most any day. If the shows are supposed to be current, are they completely changing the characters and settings? Otherwise, it doesn’t really make sense to me. Let’s start with the setting.

If these police officers would learn to approach black folk in a respectful manner; they will get respect in return. Instead they often approach aggressively and then immediately escalate the situation. Some years ago, police drove up to my house just has I was getting home from work. I had just stepped out my car.

Yeah, it was back and forth to and from the facility. I was thinking that the vampires would escape the facility around mid season and then the bulk of the story would follow. Now I’m thinking that the producers knew it wasn’t going to be renewed and rewrote the ending by jumping into the future just to give closure.

I thought the Passage was on CBS. They pretty much ended the show. Honestly, based on the pacing of the show, I’m assuming that it was intended for a single season. I really wanted to like it, but the pace was really slow and it just went in circles the entire season. I keep wanting them to move the story along and

The goal is to try to pull share away from the already established shows. Often they don’t want to move a show that is doing well so that it is up against an even bigger show on another network. That’s risky because they could just end up losing share to the more popular show.

Yes, I don’t thing Damon was coming back after this season. I’ve never watched the Gifted, but I feel that way about of lot of shows these days. Sometimes a story works better has a mini or limited series. Trying do drag a decent story out for several seasons ruins it.

If their investment works out good for them; however, can we please stop pushing the health benefits of being vegan. Unless a person has celiac disease, there isn’t any health benefit of being a vegan or being a vegetarian. Most vegans do it for moral reasons not health reasons.

I don’t have HBO so I’ve never watched. However, I sometimes question when something is claimed to be a cultural phenomenon. While obviously a big hit, in terms of total viewers it’s hasn’t been any bigger than several other shows that I could name. The Walking Dead has shared similar success, but I would not call it

I agree with the overall sentiment of this article. However, anyone who would have taken the time to view the entire spot would have recognized that there was nothing actually racist about the ad and I strongly suspect that there was probably was a black person in the room doing the development of the spot. The

This sounds really stupid.

There is not imbalance of power between fans and celebrities because celebrities have no real power over a fan. If the fan chooses to do certain things just because the person is a celebrity, it’s the fan’s choice.

I’m glad you said it.

I can’t speak for cities like DC and LA, but where I am, part of the issue that has to be addressed is that middle class and working class blacks are fleeing certain communities taking their dollars with them. Some of these same folk with get all nostalgic when certain businesses close or if non-blacks start to scoop

I argue that it’s just good fortune. I have always had an issue with the concept of blessings because it does imply divine intervention. If God blesses me with good health; it also means that he chose not to bless someone who has poor health

I wonder what the income had been if the sheriff wasn’t black?

I’m not a Christian, but I really hate when rich people quote the Bible to try to explain their desire for riches. They always seem to conveniently forgot about Jesus saying that it’s easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven. Nothing wrong with the desire to be

I got the chicken pox at age 28. Put me in the hospital for almost a week. Afterwards, I made sure I got any and all vaccines available
