Shledon.  His name is Sheldon.

Prediction: Bran wargs into Drogon and eats Danaerys

Clearly that is the walk of a woman about ready to burst into song.  Last episode is a musical!!!

I literally see it brought up once every couple of months. (or roughly whenever Lindelof does something noteworthy)

On the other hand, I continue to see its influence everywhere, and not just the obvious knock-offs. Orange is the New Black, This Is Us, Westworld, True Detective, The Good Place—all have traces of Lost’s narrative/structural DNA. Whatever its failures (which, I personally feel have been overblown), it remains a

Every time I’ve ever seen LOST brought up in the last five years, it’s been because someone was complaining about the ending.

So they should have just pressed the pause button for 5-10-(indefinite) years while they waited for GRRM to write more, then just restart production, get all of the cast back from whatever they’re doing in the meantime, etc? Come on bruh.

I’m personally convinced that the show runners were convinced that at least the 6th book would have been finished by now.

Convinced!

Martin, meanwhile, laments the foreshadowing and clues layered into early storylines that, when rejiggered, turn into nothing more “dead ends.”

She always had very strong moral convictions and unlike other politicians/nobles she actually seemed concerned about the common people, she hated inequality, hated slavery, hated misogyny. Her motivations were all the right ones - but power and mental illness seemed to take hold; and having magical powers you don’t

Arya learned to kill to defend herself and her family, to defend those she loved and who needed her protection. Her arc was perfect - The Hound was right; the castle was collapsing and no one was leaving alive unless they left immediately. She persisted but he finally stepped in and asked her if she wanted to let

Dany is the only character who conquered cities, forced her vision of a culture upon them, and then abandoned them instead of staying to rule.

Every character on the show is an imperialist.  They live in a monarchical world.

Dany has always been an imperialist. It’s incidental that her ideals dovetail with our progressive ones.

I’m having such a hard time wrapping my head around D&D deciding to end it with two short seasons while HBO was completely fine with full 10 ep seasons for 7 and 8, and even wanted more than that. Like why rush to the end like this?

He’ll be burying zombie bones around Winterfell for the next 5 years.

I’ve never seen Daenerys as a sweet empathetic queen. She’s always been arrogant, impetuous, self-aggrandizing, and obsessed with the throne. Which didn’t make her worse than most other characters, but certainly she was not much better.

Going back to my parent’s house for Mother’s Day dinner and seeing their wonderful black lab made me so happy today. So much of this season has been underwhelming but forgivable, but I can NEVER forgive D & D for their utter contempt for dogs.

What’s important to note here, is that Ghost is very safe in the North, the REAL North, mind you.
