Night Court has a great premise, the cavalcade of oddities that turn up after-dark for trials at a dingy Manhattan courtroom. So I don’t really see a problem with revamping it, if done well. It doesn’t even need to have that much connection to the past; it’s situational.
The big question here is did they wrap up filming yet? If so, I don’t see how they can have a proper finale.
Superstore has done a superb job of satirizing the excesses of wokeness without dismissing it.
Well-said. I thought this made perfect sense for her character.
I didn’t feel like it was totally out of character for Amy, who can be a little flighty and self-involved. However, the episode also sympathetically pointed out that most of her life has been spent reacting to circumstances and trying to get by, not really pursuing what she wants out of life. She needs time to figure…
Agreed, I don’t feel like Amy leaving really hurt the show. It wrapped up her character fine for the time being and left the door open for a later appearance. The rest of the cast is so great that the show wasn’t lacking for interesting characters.
I think the rest of the cast had enough going for it to continue without her. I certainly hope she does return for the finale, though.
This season has done an excellent job showing the effect of COVID on retail, as well.
Very funny show that had a lot more gas in the tank. Sad to hear it’s getting jettisoned so soon.
She’s been busy with her tell-all series “Bayside and the Aftermath.”
Realllllllly long Zoid transformation sequences.
I simply wouldn’t mind spending more time with these characters, so I’d love to watch the three-hour cut. I wouldn’t expect it to surpass the original.
And word on a return of Tori Scott?
I’m sure we’ll get plenty of finger-wagging at Chris Noth’s character.
Sadly, it’s true.
Oh yeah, that’s why I stopped watching this trainwreck.
Agreed, it’s not a BAD movie, just thoroughly mediocre, especially compared to the pair of all-time cinematic classics that preceded it.
The Highlander 2: Renegade Version vastly improved on the theatrical version. It’s still a terrible movie. But at least it’s coherent and there are no aliens.
