Yup. My ex wife had the 99 Jetta. I put VW racing wheels on it. lowered, Low profile tires, tinted the windows, manual trans, simple perf. mods..... I sure miss that car.

You are welcome. I had an 83 and an 84. One Black/Red and one Silver/Blue. An idiot hit me and killed the black one so I went out and got the Silver 83. I have owned 13 Vdubs so far.....

I loved the red, and I really miss that cool blue glow from my GLX VR6 Passat. Post 80's / 90's interior, but really nice place to be while driving.

I agree! It was more about the business at hand... driving. Nowadays some people are more concerned about how big their touch screen is rather than having the proper environment to drive in!

Exactly what I was thinking. A non petrolhead would never think of any TVR model ever, or the 80's Audi Quattro to run against the Jeep.  

I never saw any spy shots of this thing on the road. No one was brave enough to risk their photography career positng pics of this hideous truck. They thought they were being set up. I think the grill is part of the new safety initiative for GM. It’s so ugly, and you see the ugly coming from so far away, that it scares away everything in it’s path. Ergo.. less collisions between this monster and other cars, objects, pedestrians, animals, etc... The heck with tasteful designs. Safety first people!

They remind me of wheel covers you find on a shelf at PEP Boys right next to these....

This is kind of like the least ugly of the siblings. Not as bad on the eyes, but still carries some of the family curse on its face. No thanks....
