I was a Heuy crew chief/mechanic while in the Army. We flew some Marines out to a field exercise one time, and one guy couldn't figure out the seat restraints, so he just tied it into a knot around his waist. We came in for a hot landing and while he was still struggling to untie his seat belt, the aircraft started

Thanks to all, I always forget about expanding the images. Shrunk down, it just looked like a wrinkle in his flight suit.

Maybe it's cropped out, but where the hell is that guys safety harness? One little turbulence bump and out he goes.

When I got out of the army I went to school to get my A&P (Airframe & Power Plant). They had a cutaway of one of these engines, just a beautiful piece of machinery.

Do it in a heart beat.

One of the best pieces of advice I got was from the Army recruiter, who told me to never volunteer for anything, no matter how good it sounds. I though it was a weird thing to say, but it stuck.

I work two miles from the U of M Property Disposition building, and try to hit it at least twice a month. There's always something that I just can't live without. Last month, I bought five 30x40 picture frames, with glass included, for $10 each. Great for anyone that does a lot of photography.

Great, thanks for the info. It gives me a place to start, something to look at.

I've always been curious about something with these mashups. How do you go about researching all the movies to find space helmets, or every time a character says a certain phrase or something. Are people that are making these just doing it all from memory or is there some kind of search engine for movies and scripts?

I've got probably five different RAM mounts, they're the best I've ever used. One in the hot air balloon for the garmin gps, one in the car for the android, one on the mountain bike.......... and if you think things through, you can use the same mount in multiple locations, just make sure you use the same size ball

Laugh In or Flip Wilson, can't remember who used to say that all the time. I seem to want to say it was Flip.

Michigander here also, and I agree, improve the road conditions themselves. My take on the whole thing though is that we're just too cheap to put down anything that can handle the weather and traffic. I spent three years in Germany, while in the Army, and never saw roads in the condition that they are here. I had

Just be sure to post before and after shots. You know, for the archives.

PERFECT, I'll have to remember that.

The other thing about data like this, is that it seems to imply that without a killer high end camera, you can't take amazing images. In our camera club, I've seen some absolutely gorgeous images taken with a P&S. I have a 7 year old Canon 5D that I use now, switching from a 30D to get the full frame sensor, and

I use Llama also, great app.

Thanks, not a pro, just a 30 year hobby. And you're right, on closer inspection it's probably not a beetle. A friend of mine was over during the holiday, and I have a large print of this hanging up that we were looking at. There are some things that were just out of proportion for a beetle. The side windows were a

Thanks, and you're right, on closer inspection it's probably not. A friend of mine was over during the holiday, and I have a large print of this hanging up that we were looking at. There are some things that were just out of proportion for a beetle. The side windows were a bit too long and the rear wheel well

Snapped this one our at Bonneville Speed Week last August.

Probably meant to say Army Corps of Engineers.
