Here in Michigan, and other snowy states I bet, the snow plows would rip those things off the first time it cleared the roads of snow. I've seen some places where they grind a small depression in the road, and then glue the dots down in the depression, but that's just more money.

I was a heuy mechanic in the army, and the crewchiefs/mechanics for the chinooks would say the same thing about the hydraulic fluid. If you haven't got a drip somewhere on one of the five transmissions, set it down now cause you're out of fluid.
