I hope you aren’t referring to the Keystone Pipeline, that definitely is not a redundancy for any American oil infrastructure. It’s just shipping tar sands crap to refineries that’ll get shipped internationally from the gulf.

Dear wall street,
That’s a good one I didn’t think of. On 90% of the cars and for 99.9% of drivers, all they do is cost more and make it ride worse.
Any upgrade that includes more plastic chrome.
Meanwhile, all of the SCVs have been laid off following the zerg infestation pandemic, and they simply can’t mine enough crystal to keep up with the base expansion.
It absolutely fucking shameful how we fail to care for our own people.
“This isn’t a heartwarming tale, this is a damning indictment”
I live for roadside attractions! My whole life has been about avoiding the Eisenhower, taking the scenic route as often as I possibly can, and using roadside attractions as a way to determine my route.
My former coworker, who also drove a brand new Jeep Wrangler with a 4k lift kit and $350+/each Toyo Open Country tires. She complained she couldn’t afford to move out of her parents due to her nearly $600 monthly car payment.
My guess is that they wanted to make something generic deliberately using hints from the 3 big brands, as you point out.
What about the pseudo-Ford badge on the front? I thought Ford as soon as I saw the blu.... uh, green oval.
I see Fox body Ford LTD wagon in there too.
The front end smacks of Ford Granada or possibly Fairmont Futura, enhanced by the oval grill emblem which obviously hints toward Ford. The side profile from the beltline down screams “GM badge engineered products of the 80's” and the greenhouse says AMC.
There’s nothing the US CAN do for the semiconductor shortage. There’s simply not capacity. They can throw all the billions they want at companies in the US to ‘expand capacity’ but that will take years. AMD/IBM/GloFo sold off most of their US fabs, Intel is busy pumping out their own stuff and don’t really take…
OTOH - much of that stored combustion energy in batteries isn’t intended to be released during the vehicle lifetime, similar to the energy stored in the upholstery and carpeting.
This is apples and oranges comparison. You’re comparing the normal electric discharge energy of the battery to the thermal combustion energy of gasoline. In this case we’re talking about the thermal combustion energy of the battery. It is normally equal to or greater than what’s in your tank of gas.
You missed the best part: “Video and pictures from a Bobby Busche via Facebook”. You’d think the waterboy would’ve put it out, instead of filming it.(technically Boucher, but pronounced the same). Also, may want to move away from any place with “Burn” in the name (Ashburn).
Electric car batteries store an astounding amount of energy in a very dense package
It’s approximately here: 25.672229, 106.107314
Does anyone have the map coordinates for this turnaround for the satellite image? I’m willing to bet it is not for people that want to turnaround , but rather there is an offramp exit located on the mountainside of the highway and it was easier to install the turnaround and have everyone exit from the inland side of…
