But at least your phone is super secure!

My first experience was when the unions at work basically spent literally years fighting over the new pay system (which ultimately was scrapped). However as a young employee the new system would have allowed me to get bigger raises faster than under the existing system. Most of the supervisors (who were not covered by

Sadly it’s probably no worse than the one you have in your pocket since they tend to ride around in your pants, are used in unsanitary places, and are cleaned about as often as those pay phones.

Well lets be fair. The only reason you are losing power is because the manual they use is not rated for that kind of torque. Technically the Automatic has to restrict torque in certain gears to prevent blowing the thing up and so those hp and torque numbers are not as usable as they advertise because even the auto has

I know it’s not as voter friendly but the simplest and far cheaper start would just be to propose a law that says all government agencies will buy EVs where possible for the use case, making sure there’s wording against overkill (no $70K+ Tesla).

And from the links:

I’d like to know where you’re seeing 40% outside maybe very specific lab studies with very complicated or difficult processes. A quick google search turned up a few articles like this:

Most are just carbon capture in one form or another. We either pump it back underground, or remove the carbon as some other form that might be more useful that that. It is unfortunately still utilizing a non-renewable resource that still has significant energy costs to clean, compress, and store it.

I really don’t see how hydrogen will ever take over. Electrolysis is basically the only way to produce it that could be carbon free, and why would you decide to store that electricity in hydrogen if you can do it in a battery and skip all the conversion losses.

Agreed, but to be fair, what are they supposed to compare it to? There are no other vehicles playing in this arena right now. I’m sure there will be comparisons to other Porsches and similarly expensive sports sedans, but then it’s more ICE vs EV, and we already know what most of those will look like too.

But that’s exactly what makes it a cool experience, some ways better, some worse, but it’s the sum total that is enjoyable.

That being said, you can like cars and not like working on them, that does not makes you a lesser “enthusiast”.

While true in most cases, old cars are also a sensory experience that modern cars lack. It’s not something you necessarily want day to day, but driving them is a joy in ways that new cars aren’t.  Plus the satisfaction of fixing and improving something with your own two hands.

Exactly this! I love working on a vehicle (most times), but only when it’s not already stressful, like when it has to get you to work the next morning.

The 401k people have it better, even if it doesn’t seem that way.

No, unfortunately there’s nothing that says that apple will honor a mistake that they or an approved third party make. It’s more likely, but not guaranteed. What this is saying is that if you don’t use Apple or an approved repair center your phone may at best annoyingly remind you for some period of time or at worst

Yes, my understanding is that Tesla has been somewhat lenient with their stuff, but I hear that Nissan software locks batteries to the cars. I think the aftermarket has found workarounds but it's still pretty limited.

But to be fair that’s basically what Tesla did too, and probably for all the same reasons.  Not to mention for the money of the “cheap” one you’re probably not dramatically changing the overall customer base.

Except e-bay doesn’t set the pricing, doesn’t tell the seller how much of that money they’re going to get, and in fact doesn’t tell the seller what they’re going to sell, all of which Uber does.

Man, the logistics of getting that down are going to suck. Power company has to kill power along that line so they can get a crane in to remove the truck, then of course replace the pole and re-connect the lines. Lots of people without power for at least a day.
