Was it ever actually planned to exist, or like most electric cars was it actually a $42,500 car that counted the $7500 federal tax break (that is already ending for them)?

I think the issue of “flying cars” could be close if we look at them as big quad-copters and less like airplanes that can drive on the road. I could see electric cars that drive up to a platform where it “plugs into” a quad copter frame that is powered from the car’s batteries. The car could even charge at the super-hi…
NP, I wouldn’t buy one right now due to the 2-door thing, but I’ve always liked recent the Caddy styling, and the biggest knock against these cars (and IMO Caddy in general) is the insane price they wanted for what was offered, it only made things worse that this was a Volt with fancy clothes.
Haven’t bought cars often, but the quickest way to make me not want to buy your car is to treat me like an idiot. Damn near gave up on my last buy because the sales manager was using a calculator to try and explain the economics of the fuel savings to an engineer and a math PhD.
Can’t believe I CP’d one of my dream cars, but it was really a tough call. I like the color (one-off or not), but the 2nd gen hard-top is my favorite, and at the end of the day I’d rather spend a bit more on a real second-gen than a first gen dressed up to look like one. But I could talk myself into it pretty easily.
I have a bit of everything now, a stick in my truck and wife’s car, a classic automatic in my Desoto, and a modern one in my Magnum, plus no transmission in my LEAF, and I think it’s the loss of choice that is the depressing part. I like and hate each of those transmissions for different reasons, but the ability for…
Classified can mean a lot of things in the Government. The material individually obviously does not require a security clearance, but is probably “classified” as some form of sensitive (e.g. not allowed to be viewed/owned by foreign nationals) and so would have to be “declassified” before it could leave the protection…
*shouldn’t respond to troll bait but can’t resist*
This is the gulf we seem not to understand. They believe in Trump, arguing logic only makes them dig in farther. These are people who believe in religion, or white supremacy, or Bigfoot, or flat earth. Once Trump moved into the same arena no amount of logic will solve the problem. Like any frightened animal you have to…
If the wagon metal came from a Dodge Magnum (and it definitely looks like it) then no, he just traded them for different blind spots. They may look great but they are not good to see out of. My Magnum taught me how to set up and use my mirrors correctly.
I skipped that first step.
Surprised not more people pointing this way, but since he parks on the street in DC, it would only work if he has access to a place to charge conveniently. If there was a charger at work it would be ideal, but that’s the biggest issue with an EV in the city.
It’s a surprisingly fair and realistic response from the Detroit government. I hope they have the guts to hold Ford accountable for whatever they agree to, but history is not on their side.
Who’s database? Most of these trucks are probably on their third owner. A used car deailer or Craigslist sale isn’t going to be in a manufacturer’s databse, but could be in a dealer or service department computer, hence the bounty. I still don’t know why state DMVs or insurance companies couldn’t be polled to provide…
Norway, how else are they supposed to get all those Tesla’s fixed in a timely mannor.
Throwing out CAFE and replacing it with something that actually focuses on cleaner emissions is the correct move, and it’s the one the Trump administration is taking.
Maybe based on cars around you, but most people aren’t that well calibrated, especially at slower in-town speeds, and regardless it’s still an excuse for a fairly simple problem on a $50k car, but only time will tell if it will be a problem at all.
No, the screen is the only OUTPUT device. Screen freezes, glitches, dies, etc. you just eliminated the only feedback portal you have. Even if you can still control everything via steering wheel (phone would be horrible while driving, though if you tape it to the dead screen I guess it wouldn’t be much different) you…
So let me make sure I get this:
Diesel cheaper than regular?! Won’t find that in the US.
