The long distance comfort will be the big one, that and performance. Would love to have another wagon to consider if I had to replace my Magnum RT, but it’s primary purpose is road trips which it does really well. Only other problem is that even with “only” 340 hp on tap from the 2005 era HEMI, I’d have a hard time

Except that if you had to sign an agreement with Tracker agreeing what you would or wouldn’t do with that boat before they deliver it to BPS then the only reason you could even buy it was with the understanding of what you had agreed to with the company.

It’s a lot of money for a toy, and they don’t seem to depreciate if you can find one used, but I would totally own one if I had the money to buy it.

While I agree with your premise the example is flawed, Ford and the people who buy Mustang’s have never really had a big desire for MPG. Look at the F150, they spend all the money to move to aluminum to save 700 lbs and somewhere around half of that was then used to give you more gadgets, more sound deadening, more

I drank the Jalopnik coolaid and ended up buying one of those stupid cheap LEAFs a year or so ago now. At the time I figured it would be a cheap way to go the 5 mile trip to and from work each day. No gas, cheap electricity (I can charge at work too), and less maintenance. Plus it’s quirky looking and techy.

^This. Friend had one that he was actively TRYING to kill. I think in the 4 or 5 years he owned it the oil may have been changed twice, otherwise he just made sure it had oil and the thing just kept running. We called it “the Roach” because it had about all the same properties, ugly, not pleasant to be around, but

Two stick out.

Two stick out.

Two stick out.

Not to mention what happens when the company decides not to support that device any more. If they decide to turn off the servers or not update the app you’re stuck with an expensive piece of tech history that might still be able to do what the dumb version does if you’re lucky.

Solar/UV radiation will be brutal, but the “higher energy” type (x-ray/gamma/neutron/etc.) shouldn’t have a huge effect on most of the components physically at least in the short term (years, probably decades). Many of the materials that make up a car can be found around nuclear reactors, they may become radioactive

Assuming he didn’t get funding/help from LEGO or Six Flags or similar and that they’re actually real LEGOs. I’ve heard you can submit proposals and LEGO will sell at a reduced cost for projects like these. Still, not a cheap hobby, but then again I shouldn’t talk, I have five cars.

Must depending on year, my 2013 is electrically powered, you can even trigger it from the key fob.

There is a normal 12V battery under the hood that runs all the normal electrical stuff (locks, windows, etc.), that battery is charged from the main battery pack. When it goes bad you need a jump to operate those accessories. Charging the main battery wasn’t going to help much.

the main appeal of riding a motorcycle is feeling and hearing the engine

Maybe they thought she comes with it.

My understanding is exactly that. The GM and RAM trucks have aluminum hoods (which is fairly common) and I think one has aluminum doors, but the cab and bed are mostly steel.

As someone who works in a shipyard, we get lots of training on entering tanks and voids. Even without a cargo that is actively changing the environment these spaces will have little to no active ventilation, meaning that it’s easy for them to become inhabitable to human life.

Funny, I was just having a conversation like this on another forum, about how seemingly few “DIY” car guys there are in the “real” world. There is some of that (less of a car guy thing), but it’s also because we’re the type that want to trade war stories and you won’t have any, or in many cases care about the ones we

Yes, especially because you’d have to use hydaulics to steer the rear axle which would be done by mounting a hydraulic ram on the axle to turn the wheels, that would usually mount about where a damper would go with a tie-rod to each side.
