I am pretty sure the Opel Blazer was also sold in the Netherlands. I remember seeing those ridiculous Opel badges that had been glued on top of the bowtie and just shaking my automotive head.

I did not know this was possible and never seen these refills before (in Belgium, The Netherland or in the UK) But with the need for my spare wheel to be removed to replace rear the wiper I will definitely go this route next.
Only if you value your own life and that of your family over coolness.
Go for a Discovery Sport. It has got seven seats, and has a lot of technology still based on Ford parts (that’s a good thing I promise), they are pretty reliable actually. Especially for a Land Rover. If you need bigger go for a boxy Discovery 4 (LR4 in the us?) Don’t be tempted by anything else.
You did not disappoint, “as my days of Jeep hoarding are coming to an end” and “I need to make room for that and another donor car” You mean you are still going to car hording just not only Jeep’s?
Don’t worry to much about the colour of oil in diesel engines. They tend to get black very quickly. A raising oil level however is no good. Good luck!
Well done, this was an highly entertaining series and a bit nerve racking at the same time. I hope my neighbours don’t get any ideas and report my Italian sculpture sitting on blocks on my drive formally known as as Alfa Romeo.
Look how hard it is trying to look relevant in the 90's:
Those Renault’s Midliner’s were everywhere in the Netherlands where I grew up. They made them a long time too, all the way through the 70's and 80's and with a new grill even in the 90's if I remember correctly.
I still really like the GC. As to FCA. They are known for 3 things in Europe. Extending products life-cycles and pushing introduction dates. Last but not least promising 20 new models and not bringing any of them to the market at all.
“The tension between my love of internal combustion engines and my desire to limit the role I play in destroying the planet is something I spend a lot of time thinking about.”
Volvo’s need to have a 5 cylinder. Just love that sound, rougher than a V6 but such a nice drum riff.
Why am I always checking my local car sell websites after reading your articles? I have enough project cars....says my brain. The rest of me.....wonder what’s on ebay!?
If they where too come for David Tracey’s Jeep’s he would infidelity go to jail. Non of his are actually working.
I would be very worried we would just up the ante, and tweet something even more insane or threaten war...again.
I’m Dutch, sadly didn’t get tickets, so I am going to Silverstone again (I live in the UK) But man, I think they did a great job. I’ve driven on the old circuit and it is pretty tricky already, this looks like even more fun.
It off course depends on the route you most frequent take. I am with KLM as I tend to use their routes to China often. Although not flying now for a good time will almost certainly see me loose my platinum status.
I own a couple of Land Rover’s and Alfa Romeo’s this won’t go well for me. And no, they are not all running. But I just did a 2200km roundtrip in my 20 year old Discovery and that went great.................apart form the problems I had. :)
Pity I was going and combining it with the car show in Beijing. At this point I would be very surprised if the Beijing car show would just go ahead. Very likely that will be postponed or cancelled too.
This is exactly why I was disappointed Geely didn’t win the bid. It’s great AM is still an independent brand but Geely had done a great job with Volvo and is doing well with Lotus. Given them enough autonomy to retain the brand values but giving them access to technologies like these + access to a supply chain and…
