Same! I think the trick is, cover up one polish and look, then cover up the other. Then it’s obvious (according to those of us who score perfectly on color tests).

The test has determined that I have “perfect color acuity.” I feel like screen capping and showing this to my boss the next time we get into a tiff over color.
Except the guy who played her faux-dad in The Professional. And that was just (intentionally) creepy.
What would his grounds for suit be? Everything she’s done is ostensibly to his advantage.
honestly I think that denial is the only coping mechanism that they can muster—if they accepted the full weight of this, it would crush them completely.
I see a physician assistant for mine, and she’s the best I’ve ever had! I actually enjoy having a conversation with her, and she doesn’t lecture me on my sexual history. We even discussed whether to have kids or not, and I didn’t feel judged once. She’s the most feminist, sex-positive doctor I’ve ever had. Before this…
I think it means “I want my blog about fashion to appear so effortless that I am intentionally implying that one can eat and be fashionable at the same time.”
And for those trying to engage to even say things like, “I’m sure exclusiveness isn’t the vibe you’re going for here.” is so silly. Ummm, yeah, actually I’m sure that’s EXACTLY the vibe she’s going for.
How could she just keep having the same stupid problems season after season???? All her friends were so much more interesting.
WTFWTFWTFWTFWTFWTFWTFWTF?!?!?!?!
I find it interesting that while you request that we all adjust our judgement, you are also characterizing the hypothetical speaker as “the poor woman,” showing perfectly how helpless and subservient the speaker comes across.
I thought this was going to go in a different direction when I read the headline. My biggest pet peeve is people who say “Why don’t you just (insert terrible unasked for advice here)?” As soon as I hear the “just” I JUST want to say “stop! I don’t want to hear it!” because what follows is inadvertently an…
I got a totally different impression of her out of this article. My first thought was “Call the MRAs, because this argument makes her just as much of an asshole as any man I’ve heard it from.”
I felt the same way about the Norma circle. I think producers are definitely still getting used to the full season release as a format—whereas on normal TV you can (and probably to some degree should) be repetitive like that for the sake of continuity across time, when binge-watching is the norm then the repetition…
on one hand I’m so lucky that the hubs cooks. On the other hand, he has no concept of nutrition, so there tends to be a lot more sauces and stuff that I would skip if I were doing the cooking. I literally had to explain to him why protein was good last week. So, it’s a work in progress.
oh, the vacancy issue just KILLS us! We’re in los angeles, where we have crazy-strict rent control. The upshot is that FHA requires us to occupy in less time than we are required to give notice to remove a tenant for our own occupancy, so we’ve had to write “one unit to be delivered vacant” into our offer letters.…
Good luck to you guys as well!
31yo lady here. I tend to find the people I get along best with on the interwebz are grumpy old men, so, welcome!
I’m really sorry things are sucking for you right now. I think people just don’t know what to say, so they try to make the problem go away (at least in their eyes) by talking you out of caring about it. It sucks.
And why does it matter to you? What makes that word so special that people different than yourself shouldn’t be allowed to use it?
