Nah. I’m here for it. It’s not often one gets to take advantage of cheaper goods and services at the expense of ultra rich investors. Although to be fair, imma probably have to pay for the eventual bailout with my taxes.

We share the same sentiment. A standard DB5 is easily in the top ten most beautiful vehicle designs. This just looks flat our stupid comparatively.
I know what I’ve got.

Well played, indeed--I am envious.
Missed opportunity to call it “technical difficulties.”
The Land Cruiser appeals to a very small group of very wealthy “old money” types who want to show that they are old money types, but only to other old money types. It occupies the space that the Grand Wagoneer did in the 80's. Most people look at it and go “that’s a funny looking Highlander” but a small group of…
When you fire that recoilless rifle, son, you gotta account for the blowback. Blowback, I say.
Heads would roll!
100% agree that an auto is faster when you’re setting lap times/at the track.
If you could guarantee me there will not be any first year teething issues then yes I’d buy one. But there are always teething issues on first model years of new platforms. I’ve worked with the Endurance Racing team, I know what this new car is capable of. I WANT one. Also, the first in line people get price…
On the last point, I agree 110%. The 911 is a beast apart. But for the buyer who isn’t dead set on something, isn’t thinking 911, and wants to maximize performance per dollar, it seems like an amazing contender. The Camaro is the same way. In terms of raw performance, it beats the mustang. The mustang is an amazing…
Yep, as of last week the guy that gets a new Vette every three or four years that attends my church confirmed he’s getting the first one from his dealer with the agreement they can keep it in the showroom as a display until spring.
I’d bet that for the first time in a long time there will be non-boomer, non-redneck people buying these things. The thing looks like a $200k supercar. Yet costs less than half of that so its clearly a value to anyone wanting this kind of look with the kind of performance
Have they mentioned what the annual fee will be to unlock the shifter? Can I pay a flat rate at purchase to keep the shifter unlocked?
There are people with money, and then there are people with fuck you money. To people with fuck you money, $5,000 is literally no money. Clearly the $5,000 price tag is meant to be exclusive, but there are PLENTY of people who have way more money than any of us can imagine to whom $5,000 is just a drop in the bucket.
Why not? It’s basically pure profit and probably aimed at the collector crowd, who have money to burn.
I am always amazed at peoples inability to understand basic economics.
Obviously the third-hand buyer in 2030 will not be able to customize the VIN.
The only way the C8 will get a manual is if those 27% of buyers write angry letters to GM stating they have cash on hand (and prove it) and will only buy the car with a manual. Considering what I’ve seen on Jalopnik, the last bastion of the Manual Lovers Society, most of the die hards seem to be fine with a DCT. That…
