Better than the default Range Rover that most people with the means to buy Lamborghini’s likely daily..... (and since neither is ever going to be driven off/soft road in anger in its lifetime, that argument is moot)

I don’t believe that would be the case if you were looking to blow ~$200k on a weekend toy but if so, more power to you. Doesn’t change my opinion...
Fair point but it didn’t come across that way to me. Also, I know there are probably quite a few Jalop who can buy whatever they want, as one, it’s never occurred to me to ask strangers their take🤷🏽♂️
Oh, I know you aren’t. Interestingly enough, I know several people who have that kind of coin.... one buddy took delivery of a 458 and sold it 2 weeks later because he wanted a different color interior and DGAF about any loss.
I’ve never met anyone with money to spend at any level, who thought it was irrelevant and I agree, no true enthusiast doesn’t have a solid idea of what they’d by given the resources to do so and that goes even MORE in that price range. (Plus, such a person doesn’t exist in a vacuum, they are generally part of a…
Nah, that’s not what his intention was at all....I’ve literally NEVER come across anyone in the enthusiast community who didn’t have a really damn good idea what they’d by if they had X budget. This was 100% “look at me, peasants!”
I’m of the opinion that anyone who actually HAS $200k to spend on a toy, wouldn’t be here asking what they should buy....🤷🏽♂️
Brilliantly done!
I’m jot passionate about defending manufacturers making boring cars, I’m GLAD they make boring cars because boring cars have mass appeal and their sales allow most manufacturers to justify the business case for producing the cars “I”’ wanna (and do) buy.
So, 3 niche type cars in 7 years and you wonder why the “enthusiast” market isn’t the target? It’s simple economics, cars are built in a manner in which they appeal to the widest audience.
If there were 5000 “enthusiasts” lining up to buy them annually, in manual spec, you think they wouldn’t build them that way?
Actually, Cayenne sales overwhelmingly make Porsche’s balance sheet look the way it does....
Curious, what was the last new car you bought and how often DO you buy new cars?
“Purists” don’t pay the bills, “the masses” do....
Should be impossible to buy one new whot with all of the “enthusiasts” who will surely be plunking down their hard earned cash for the 6cyl, manual cayman/boxster they’ve been bemoaning not being available 🤷🏽♂️
By “we,” I assume you mean “those of us who aren’t buying them up as fast as they can be produced in every European country they’re being produced for...” you know, since they aren’t parked up on forecourts throughout the continent, languishing while dealers contrive schemes to shunt them off on unsuspecting…
So just to clarify, the 3.9 L Ferrari F154CB twin-turbocharged V8, 4.5 L Ferrari F136 F V8, 5.2 L Lamborghini V10, 3.6 & 3.8L Porsche engines etc, seem “weird, dumb” and confound many Europeans? 🧐
See, if only manufacturers would make more cheap, fun, manual transmission cars in cool colors .... “enthusiasts” would have to find better reasons not to buy them🤷🏽♂️
