I understand why Cersei wouldn't get it. She didn't understand why Tyrion and Tywin sent Myrcella there in the first place. But, I guess I just expect Jaime to have a bit better grasp on the politics. And so I'm left wondering exactly what Jaime thinks is going to happen here? They're going to take Myrcella and Doran

Oh my God, that is amazing! How wonderful to hear.

Well, he did accidentally kill a bunch of people faster when he was wrong in "The Quickening".

Still haven't watched it once! And I don't plan to. No matter how many times HBO wants to air it.

Yes! I've said before that I'm a bit worried about how I actually like the actor playing Hizdahr. I don't get the sense in the book that I am supposed to care about Hizdahr whatsoever. But, in the show I find this character to be fairly sympathetic. Right now he's striking me as a character in over his head, who is

This seems a poor idea since she killed the Slave kid and Hizdahr doesn't really seem to want to be there.

Yeah. I have big problems with the writing behind Stannis in earlier seasons. I think the books made him a much more complex character.

Oh, and finally, it was nice to get a portrayal of Stannis in this episode which is much closer to Stannis from the books.

But Show Bronn already talked about how he planned to kill the older sister so that he'd get the castle. Didn't he blatantly say so to Tyrion last season? So, it isn't like this is totally counter to Show Bronn' portrayal.

The thing is, there has to be a different plot now. Since basically every character associated with that plot is now vanished in the show. So, presumably the show will have to come up with some other reason to have Doran in the story.

This is an idea absolutely made for fan fic

Just checked my bank account. Nope. Still not enough money to take a vacation to Spain.

Yes?

No. I love Bashir, but Kira would be a great commander. Bashir was a doctor through and through.

My only conclusion from this scene is that Dany is freaking stupid and badly needs better advice.

At least they gave her a fucking fantastic costume. That's something, I guess.

I really liked Shireen teaching Gilly to read. I liked the depiction of how Gilly and Sam have apparently been arguing over this. And Sam's jealousy that Shireen learned how to read earlier than he did. Apparently I need more scenes in Game of Thrones of Shireen teaching people to read.

We'll see. I have no idea how the show is going to portray Doran. This one scene wasn't really enough to tell how strong of a character he is going to be. I hope that with the absence of Arienne and Quentyn that Doran will become a very important character. Dorne really needs that balance, especially if Ellaria is

I'm so excited to see it on screen. It is on my Top 10 list of places to see.

Make it happen, show! I am kind of getting into the show being a little different. It gives me some hope that I might see some awesome character interaction that we don't get in the books. Like that Brienne and Hound scene. Or, the Tywin and Arya scenes in season 2.
