Good grief, the demons coming out of the floor looked absolutely terrible.  TERRIBLE.  I think Sharknado had better VFX.  Have they run out of money already?  Did they need to budget in order to afford John Noble?

In this universe George Washington was a demon hunter attempting to prevent the apocalypse.  I no longer pat attention to the historical inaccuracies.

I was just describing to a friend yesterday how this show is so wonderfully silly.  He said he was looking for a new show, but didn't want anything serious. After watching all of Breaking Bad in a month, he is looking for something lighter.  I recommended this show.  And honestly, The scene of Ichabod making the

Is this true?  I thought the debris was coming from the west?  Clooney and Bullock were travelling from east to west, and didn't the debris come at them from the other direction?  I could be wrong. Can't say I paid that much attention to it.

Ugh.  It looks like a video game.  It looks like all the actors are CGI re-creations. The scene in other trailers of them being attacked while floating in the (open??) barrels is probably enough to convince me not to see it.

If the AV Club wants to keep doing this feature, they need to tell the interview subjects that their answer cannot be "Because I hate the video".

I've also accepted that. The existence of the tv series helps tremendously. I figure they'll probably air the ending before GRRM could even attempt to write it.

Think Lubezki might finally win an Oscar for this? I swear, I have thought so for his last few movies.  I am still ticked that he lost for "Children of Men". I'll be rooting for him this year for sure. The visual look and feel of the movie is incredible. Camera work is simply outstanding.

Of course, he's been trying to get it made for several of those 7 years. It isn't like he did no work until this year.

I wear glasses. I hate 3D. The movie is definitely worth seeing in 3D.

I felt a little queasy during the opening scene. Probably the 5-15 minute mark would be dicey.  But, it didn't last.  Felt okay the rest of the film.  Though, I think it may have been designed to give a slight feeling of dizziness in places.

Having just seen it, I'll say no. No, it isn't science fiction. It is a survival story.  There's no technology in it more advanced than anything we have today. It isn't about "space travel" as I consider it. It is a servicing mission to the Hubble Telescope gone awry.  Which is science-related. But not sci-fi.

Also, dialogue is not the entirety of a script.  I have seen the movie, thought it was stunning, and I couldn't care less about the dialogue.

Score of 96 on Metacritic as well. Will probably end up highest scored movie of the year there.

Exactly what I thought, not going to lie, "…. has seen it" is what immediately popped into my mind.  The voiceover totally sounded like some SNL-type fake trailer.

This is a nearly spot-on review of the show.  And not very different than the week-by-week reviews being posted on this site.

Like the serial killer storyline, he, too, felt like he was imported from an entirely different series.  At least I could see how Gish's story would fit into the fabric of the world.  Wright's character turned out just as baffling as he started.

I agree. I, too, watched every episode.  Ugh, it was maddening. I could see such a great show in there, somewhere….  Really liked the finale.  I'm pretty sure the constraints of network tv killed its potential.  But, I can't see how it could have had the necessary budget if it had been on cable.

The idea of it seemed so ripped from X-Men.  So, I'm wondering how much the show veers away from that concept.

1. Rowan, you should watch Fringe. LOL, I know other people already said that, but I figured added encouragement would help.
