Loved the first movie in this series, but whereas that one was somehow effective as a scary horror film to me, the rest of the series (judging by the other two I saw; 2 and the one with the roller-coaster) lost that quality and became straight up pseudo-snuff murder-porn. Of course, if I were to watch the original

Hoobastank.

If you're an aspiring screenwriter, I reckon now's the time to send your Spider-man script to Sony. Think they'd use a script from my demented, semi-literate neighbor Augie if it'd let them get a movie into production today.

Yay, been waiting for an episode to really grab me. Was hoping it wouldn't take too much longer. I really enjoyed this. Good to find out more about Pastor Matthew (is that the right title?), and good to find out that he and Nora are siblings. Also, man, Nora looked almost exactly like my sister when she was yelling at

Good point!

Wow. The power of Twitter. I was pretty sure this wouldn't happen. They picked up Community because that show generates lots of press. Enlisted generates very, very little (that I've seen). Cult shows do have value, but this cult seems pretty small. We'll see. I'd certainly like to see more, myself. Aired in the

I may feel that way also upon re-watching them. I think 2 might have a leg up for me merely because that was when I started watching.

Almost a solid year of CBB, wow. I'll be strung-out pretty bad when that ends.

Charles Manson is more like a Spooky Grave Man!

It's my second-favorite season, actually (after 2). Though I probably oughtta get around to re-watching the show sometime soon and see if I still feel that way.

:(

Same, and I'm not a parent. Moreover, Hank seems to always cram a bunch of "fucks" into these heartfelt speeches, and it just feels like deliberate "edginess" or something.

I agree. Of course there are also those comments on the other side of the argument, like, "If you still like Lost after that finale, you must be [insult]." I guess a lot of internet folk enjoy making that conflation, while others expect to be the victims of that, so they strike preemptively. Conversations involving

I couldn't tell what was going on in that shot, either. The camera did look up at the building, towards its second floor, for maybe the first time ever, which could mean the Runkles bought an apartment above Karen's or something. That wouldn't make any sense, though. /shrug

My strongest emotional reaction to The Red Wedding was on my fourth viewing.

Pretty nice finale, aside from the fact that Levon wasn't killed by a falling anvil/piano. Good Runkle stuff (Pamela Adlon's characters seem to have an unfortunate knack for almost getting raped by hapless sad sacks), Hank being funnier than he's been recently (I really liked the Ashton Kutcher/Anton Kirchner jokes,

Yet Shameless somehow manages to just keep getting better from season to season. Then again, maybe that also follows the Showtime example and this upcoming season is where it'll start to fall apart.

Levon may have been the absolute worst character I've ever watched. And I kept having to just sit there while Hank referred to him as a "good kid." In what possible way is this a good kid, Hank!?! Ack. I did get a kick out of the fact that the actor's name is Oliver, though. Doing Cousin Oliver and Oliver Trask proud.

The first thing I read about the show, many months ago, suggested that the strength of the source material, in terms of its matching up with Lindelof's sensibilities, is that it neither answered nor purported to answer the central question about the vanishing. I don't know if Damon's said something to contradict that

Oops. Heh, thought I had this sorted oldest-first. It was surprising to me when the Jeopardy posts stopped being first, but I don't think I changed the sorting myself. Confusing.
