And here we thought the Golden Globes had no comedy credibility.

I have the opposite opinion. Surfer at least had some nice effects, and that nifty Torch-Surfer race at the beginning. The first had nothing.
Yeah, I'm in. What else am I gonna watch — Napoleon Dynamite? Naw, I've always been a pretty big fan of Californication, and this season seems like a nice change of pace in terms of a couple of the series' less fortunate tendencies (the Karen fixation, and Hank's satyriasis — he hasn't banged anyone in two whole…
Good question. I guess it's supposed to be that she calls Hank on his bullshit, or doesn't fall for his charms the way most women do, but other women seem to do the former, and Karen does seem to fall for Hank like the others do. So I must be missing something. Or maybe it's actually all about the fact that he got…
Your point about Frank is well-made. He's a loathsome cur, and pretty much everything he does (and doesn't do) is despicable, but at least it provides fodder for some good storytelling when his actions affect the kids. Without that, it's irredeemable stuff. But on the other hand, I guess it is kind of a nice change…
Aha! I would never have noticed that switcheroo if you hadn't mentioned it. She was good.
Ahh, I forgot about that Shakespeare thing. Good laugh at that one.
The kids from that beach resort or whatever, who signed her yearbook and stuff. Also the kids who realized they liked her on the same day she got a pool, of which the timing worked out great. And I'm sure there are more, but that's all I can think of now.
Red room. Red room. Over there.
That "'Episode's Too Short' Short" was nice to look at, and fairly amusing, but also a little sigh-inducing. Between that, the two-minute long opening titles/couch gag, and the extra commercial break, the actual episode must've been, like, 15 minutes long. Sheesh.
I really liked the Cat Deeley scene and the Jean-Clydeo scene, even though they were narratively irrelevant. Gonna be hard to get into this show, since the main thrust, or theme, is about this bastard of a consulting firm… but it's got Kristen Bell to look at, and a passable laughs:minute ratio, so I'll keep watching…
Yeah, I've never heard of her. I thought they were saying Kathy Lee the whole time, even though I was pretty sure that wasn't Kathy Lee.
I still don't want to live on this planet anymore. Why won't anyone build me a space station!? Argh.
The first calzone I ever had was f'ing amazing. Since then, meh. Dunno what was so special about that first one, nor can I remember its ingredients, but it reeeally worked for me.
Can't you do anything wrong, Gerry?
AND BELIEVE ME, THIS IS NOT A DREAM!
Bebop is a demon that alternately possesses each cowboy, usually whichever one is the episode's main focus.
I heart them equally.
The only Magnetic Fields album I've got is "i," which I love dearly, but I've read that they change their style a lot from album to album, so I've hesitated to buy another. I should really get around to sampling a few others. Guess I'll start with 69.
I wouldn't really call this an article, so much as a blurb.
