That makes sense, much more than the letting him down easy argument.

I think a great Heel turn episode would be something similar to the Pompeii episode. Something horrible is going to happen, but it's a fixed point, and The Doctor can't change it. Only make the fixed point even occur to our world, today.

That got to me, too. I don't understand the criteria there. What's the difference between the generals strategically agreeing to save the planet and Bill strategically agreeing to save The Doctor?

Wait, how is that letting him down easy? If you wanted to let him down easy, wouldn't you say, "Sorry, I just don't go for men," rather than, "Sorry, I only go for a small group of men, and you don't make the cut."

I think it's a fairly irrational debate. Or as Captain Jack would say…

Then what is a traitor? The Monks offered to cure The Doctor's eyesight in exchange for consent to take over the planet Earth. They were very clear about the stakes. She agreed. I can't think of a more clear definition of traitor.

She could have, but her being a lesbian makes biological kids significantly less likely.

Her believing that doesn't make it true. Her blind faith that The Doctor could defeat The Monks wasn't based on any evidence, it couldn't have been, she'd never met The Monks before. She sold out the human race on a hunch. You don't get to use beliefs to justify your actions. If you could, religious terrorists would

The agreement was that they would give The Doctor his eyesight in exchange for ruling over the human race.

Oh wow. I just had a really interesting thought there. The Monks were fiddling around inside her head for six months there, and they needed her to have progeny… so what if she's no longer gay? What if they changed that?

She knew she was betraying the Earth to an invading force in order to save her friend. She doesn't need to know any more specifics than that to be a traitor.

Are we gonna get more Polite Fight about this? Love me some Polite Fight.

That fish was a lungfish, it's capable of surviving for a few hours outside of water. Just FYI.
