It struggles to find an audience probably precisely b/c it is good; its approach is challenging and it isn’t very willing to tell us exactly what to think. That is often the nature of things. The same could probably be said for Will Sharpe’s excellent “Flowers” on Netflix as well.

Well I guess IP and nostalgia rule all so I guess they could reverse his clear death in Rebels. They’ve stated multiple times Rebels and Clone Wars are canon. He was a crime boss 15-20 years and is killed 5-10 years a 2nd time by Kenobi before the events of this series. He was being set up as a heavy in the canceled…

I was referring to Maul having survived (albeit ridiculously) being bifurcated in Phantom Menace but is certainly dead (again) by the time of the Book of Boba Fett.

If the trailer for the new season of Toast is to be believed, it isn’t Matt Berry voicing that character it’s Steven Toast.

Solo is set like 15-20 years before this. Maul is killed by Kenobi sometime between the end of the Clone Wars and a New Hope. This is set a few years after ROTJ.

I found it to be both those things.

The stinger they used is funny for about 30 seconds. Certainly not 3 minutes 30 seconds it ran.

Marvel also offered to pay for 50% of the budgeting and marketing on their 50/50 proposal. So it isn’t quite as gross as being suggested here.

If you live in a red state 50%+ of the nitwits don’t even wear masks in the 1st place much less to eat popcorn.

Both things are true; Bill Simmons has horrible taste in music and the Kenny G doc is good. 

Casting the same actors isn’t the same thing as bringing in the narratives of the Netflix shows which is looking more and more likely. 

He seems a little too old for those roles. But an older Michael Twoyoungmen (Shaman) having connections to the general MCU magic world outside of Alpha Flight makes sense to me.

Well the role for him could have been Michael Twoyoungmen but I doubt they will be doing Alpha Flight anytime soon. Could have been in a Dr Strange film though. They really should do that magicians bar. Can’t remember the name. 

Really don’t believe any of those shows will be “part of the MCU”. I think there will be MCU versions of the characters starring some of the same actors. Of course it all remains to be seen but I also think it’s the correct approach.

I was thinking the same thing. A little glimmer of the AV Club of old. 

Well ... best work Clowes has done in film. 

I was a teen in the 80s. Most people knew Mercury and Halford were gay but a sizable portion of their audiences didn’t. You can guess who; the frat boys and whatnot.
