I did a 2nd read thru a few years ago. 1 chapter at a time and then followed along with Corey Olsen’s Silmarillon Seminar. Helped give my 2nd reading more focus. The audio isn’t good and some of the students are annoying but his scholarship is engaging.

Available off and on on CD and or LP last 2 decades. Certainly not hard to find. I mean it would take a little more than next to no effort to find, which seems to be what many people want.

It’s a cool record but certainly not the place to start someone on Beefheart. If your target is adventurous you should prob start them with “Mirror Man”; if they are less adventurous prob start them with “Clear Spot” or “Strictly Personal”. If they’re even not adventurous enough for either of those; fuck em.

I thought maybe I could make my way thru the “universe” that Flashpoint Paradox starts. Even during pandemic, I couldn’t make it past the 20 minute mark. Really god awful character and concept designs, significant down grades in casting from the early DC Animated high points.
