Bc we are at a point in our collective history that many Israelis support racist nationalist acts of violence even when it targets other Jews bc it legitimizes their own racist nationalism.

I would not use great film to describe any of those. Christ and Innocence are good to very good films. ... We get it. You like Scorsese.

5. Hollywood fumbles projects about rock music at about a 90% rate. You can count the good “rock” narrative films on basically one hand.

It failed b/c: 1. Scorcese no longer has his fastball.  2. The name “Vinyl” is laughably bad.  3. People have had enough of being lectured by Baby Boomers about how great THEIR rock music is.  4. It sucked.

In light of the 48 fps Hobbit cuts, what could possibly go wrong?

When they say it’s good now they mostly mean its just a dumpster instead of a dumpster fire.

Um. It’s totally terrible. It’s a statue of Chris Cornell. What you meant to say is it was executed with a base level of skill but is terrible in its conception, intent and aesthetic. 

I think it’s unfairly maligned as well. While not my favorite season it is indeed rock solid. It is just slightly strangely structured by essentially beginning with a finale and then not having itself a real finale. “A Party for Tarzan” is likely in many top 5 episode lists of the series in general. Yeah it should read that it was the episode where Rusty and the Monarch find out they are blood relations ... not the audience.

The show is better for it and more shows should follow suit.

Eh ... the design work was also well below the Timmverse shows while still on the upper end for a Marvel cartoon. It isn’t just the story telling that is weaker.
