Right, it's a show. It needs to be entertaining. But wouldn't it be more entertaining if every once in a while the audience thought, "oh, that's smart!" or "yup, that's what I'd do."? It's bad writing that they can't figure out how to ever make these people look smart AND have the show be exciting. All excitement

Your second point is a glaring weakness (one of many) in the storytelling on this show. The characters never take advantage of choke points, which seems really dumb given how susceptible the walkers are to choke points.

This. Everyone was all, "Oh hey, why didn't Glenn and Nicholas just run up those stairs? Maybe they didn't lead anywhere."

Super weird thing to be out over, given all the other general idiocy this show deals in.

This is pretty big talk from a guy who straight up ripped the melody and chord progression from Dylan's "Desolation Row" for his song "Champaign, Illinois."

Couldn't you put just about every father from Game of Thrones / Song of Ice and Fire on this list?

I agree. The ending was ass. That is all.

But it's part of the charm of those albums!

It was good, even though there was no eye-stabbing.

I don't think the whole Lady Hornwood plot is on the show. In the books, Ramsay is a notorious psychopath (Catelyn even directly confronts Roose about it). On the show, he is not widely known as such.

Right, but Robert basically established that might = right. If the Tyrells and Lannisters don't want you on the throne, they will just invent some pretext for war and usurp that mofo.

No way. The Hound isn't dead, and as Sandor has always said - Gregor is his to kill. Although I guess they could do it differently on the TV show, I'm very sure this is how it will go down in the books.

I dunno. The Iron Islands are so bleak. It would just be a bunch of dudes (and Asha/Yara) sitting on a gray rock by the gray ocean yelling at each other.

I don't disagree. I just think the showrunners will leave it out, especially because I don't think they're going to include both Euron and Victarion.

They'll skip the kingsmoot and just go with "Balon is dead and his son is maybe dead and he has one brother and he's crazy and he's king now stop asking questions."

Yeah. While i was previously saying this would be stupid, having the Kingslayer in Meereen with Dany and Tyrion would create some interesting dynamics. And it would be a great for in the door for Trystane. I can see it being better than the Riverlands plot, as I think about it.

Yes, that would be a logical flaw. A big one. I don't see it happening, but who knows.

Well, they are on a Dornish ship (yellow sails with a sun sigil), so if anybody is a captive, it's Jaime and Bronn. That ship would obviously be crewed by Dornishmen, and I suspect they'd be reluctant to just sail that boat right into King's Landing. Not sure what they ARE going to do, but I would guess giving their

"Go on. Do your… LINE!?"

So you're already assuming the 999th commander does not last long.
